I’m having hard time with Office on iPad. I was not expecting any learning curve and all the limitations.

well... got instantly pleased as the video started lol

Ever tried to create complex office documents such as contracts, certificates, creating and/or translating legal, business, and academic documents on that iPad--complete with some image editing to be put back on the said documents? Mightily inefficient and frustrating process, let me tell you that. Bordering on useless, even. In my experience, at least. With this in mind, my MacBook Air 2017 reminds my best friend for work related tasks. I also have iPad 7, but I have long stopped trying to use it to replace my MacBook. I still love it, though. It's THE BEST for streaming multimedia contents, reading comics, editing photos and digital drawing.

I wish it worked well! I spent a lot on the Pro to replace my Surface. But reviewing, comparing documents and finding synonyms etc are not available! At least not with ease. And selecting and formatting is a nightmare. Excel? Don't even get me started. The support is so bad for just regular use. Same with Google Docs. Pages just isn't good enough. After spending sooo much money and trying to figure things out, I'm still using my 4 year old surface and mech keyboard. Idek why I'm ranting here. I'm literally so PISSED.

I saw the same problem in Excel u can’t use the trackpad in selecting multiple rows or columns or use a formula in dragging cells option !!

Check out the beta via the “TestFlight” app. Install TestFlight and then google for the iOS excel beta and you’ll find a link for it, instal and voila, Microsoft is rolling this out slowly. There’s a beta for word too but not PowerPoint yet.

If I am paying for it, I want all the functionality. Sadly Outlook and Excel, my main two, are not fully functional. It can be good for a quick fix at times but it cannot replace my laptop

I have found some limitations in the XL app such as cutting and pasting from one spreadsheet to another the formulas do not come across just the numbers and also I have not find a way to link spreadsheets. It is possibly just I have not find a workaround for doing these things

Hi, i am considering to buy an iPad Pro, and i am curious are you able to open or switch excel spreadsheet on ipad pro? Or is there a “Windows” tool to switch the spreadsheet to link them?

@@kazirasostudio9660 I have not been able to have 2 spreadsheets open at the same time or at least have not found a work around to do so. I am finding some workarounds for iPad limitations such as using web versions of things in safari but when I try that for excel it opens the app. I am coming to t.he conclusion that ipad either cannot replace a laptop or I will have to find a lot of work arounds and even then there will be limitations!

Thsnk you. Had trouble finding vids like this… trying to check if there has been improvements (as at end March 2022). Am really hoping i can save $$ not having to replace my old macbook pro, and just go with one device i will need anyway ( ie ipad ). The feedback on the app page has been somewhat disturbing here and there so am just not sure how this Microsoft office is truly faring on the ipad.

I figured it out. If i access word through office addons doesn’t appear but if i open through seperate word app than it appears but apps are expensive…

How do you reorder the slides on PP? I tried a hundred times to tap the slide and hold then drag. Slide didn’t move. Frustrated!!
