Before using this product, I scrubbed the headlight and fog lights with water and 1000 grit sand paper. Afterwards, I applied the product. My light looked brand new. This product is great!

I wish it was still made, but the polish from M. old 3 part system worked well on plastics. Used it on both my side mirror housings and bugshield/deflector - they always shined like new.

Haven't used this but meguires cleaner and sealant does quite well in clearing up a UV worn clouded headlight by itself without polishing, even. Like it's not like a grind and polish but the spray on sealant does a good job filling in and smoothing out the surface which then allows light through better again.

We will have to try that!
I used it on my 2011 Hyundai Tucson headlights and followed up with Meguiar's Keep Clear Headlight Coating. The headlights are crystal clear. They look brand new. The difference was the Keep Clear. They got much clearer after that application.

That was my experience as well! Thank you for sharing!
I had tried one or two products to solve my cloudy headlight lenses but nothing did a great job and worse they didn't last even a month on my 2007 Pathfinder. I tried this Meguiar's X it it has done the best job yet and after I sprayed the Keep Clear they got even better. Not only do they look better my headlights have greatly improved my vision for night driving. Thanks...

Good to hear! I’m glad the video helped you!
It absolutely does work but fairly gentle so if the plastic is badly damaged you need to start with more aggressive products before finishing off with PlastX. Adding a layer of good quality wax is a must to protect the finish and for that extra like-new shine. Tons of how-to videos on youtube.

Thank you for watching! We’ve had success so far with the Meguiar’s Keep Clear Headlight Coating, using it on the headlight’s after the PlastX to keep that shine and clarity.
I used it for my golf carts windscreen, they are plastic, it really did a excellent job instead of struggling to see through the haze and scratches it was like a new wind screen after using it, after seeing the result on the windscreen i decide to try the stuff on my Casio G-Shock that had a scratched and foggy crystal, i removed all the scratches and fog, fantastic stuff!

If you use clearcoat on top, you dont need to polish. Spray directly on fine sanded plastic, the surface texture helps clearcoat to bond. Then sand it again to remove any orange peel and wax just like you would your paintwork.
I did the gauge cluster on my 2007 Tundra with Plastx. Two applications, and a little elbow grease and the cluster sparkled. Did it look brand new....no, but it was a huge improvement none the less. I did it by hand, but if you had a Dremel with the right tip I bet they would sparkle. I used Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish on my headlights. It's a little more aggressive than Plastx, and when used with a RO polisher they come out fantastic. Your headlights did turn out well.

Love this stuff! I keep a bottle in the car. First time I used it I had to wet sand the head lights because they were yellow. Then I buffed them with this stuff and they turned out like new. When I detect the headlights starting to yellow or look weathered I lightly polish them with the PlaxticX and they pop like new again. Also use it on the tail lights and it makes them deep and rich in color making them look like new.

After you use the PlastX to “clear” up your headlights, follow up with the Meguiar’s Headlight Coating Spray. That will prevent the headlights from turning back to yellow or fogging back up. I plan on doing a video about that product in the future. Here is a link to the product: Meguiar's G17804 Keep Clear Headlight Coating, 1 Pack a.co/d/fbUSV6b
So does this mean it’ll help take off the bubble looking things off my headlights ??

You may have to use a buffer with PlastX to take care of the “bubble looking” things. But it wouldn’t hurt to try the method I used in the video!

Hi I bought my Maguiars PlastX At Walmart. And went to self checkout. A employee came up to me and said are you buying acetone or cough syrup. I said no man. She said I will know if you did. I’m 73 My granddaughter is 17. I said why did that lady say those things. Well here’s why. You must be a certain age to buy cough syrup or acetone. But we didn’t buy no acetone or cough syrup… My granddaughter said the Maguiars has acetone in it. So is this true.????

It only works on not to damaged headlights. I am in Panama and got a 2009 Silverado. Headlights are completely dull. No idea if someone tried already. I tried mothers polish paste and this one. I just ordered a pair new headlights for $90. Cheaper than buying all this stuff people say it makes it all new. Wasted around $35 on headlight restore items. Sorry. Check how much a pair headlights are and you have the real deal. I tried this stuff in the video n my Mercedes W211. It makes t brighter but not clear as new.
