people have said you need to add or else the plastic burns, is that true?? if so where do you put the water?? i have the same fart gun and it starts to smell like burning plastic after using it for 2 minutes i just bought it yesterday

No burning issues here. The heating element doesn't get hot enough to melt any plastic. I don't believe you put water in the gun at all. Just the fog solutions that came with it. If you were to put water in for some reason, it would go into the same port as the fog solution. Just remember water heated makes steam (not fog) and could rust out the heating element.
