Putting any kind of grass seed on hard dirt using any type of delivery method has always provided me with...a dirt field. For best results I've always had to prep the dirt, cover the seed one or two inches deep, and water it twice daily. No joke, it works every time regardless of the delivery method.

Stick with seed and topper soil you'll be happier in the long run.

Thank you. I was in Vegas once when I was 20 and it was amazing. I love the dry weather and on my last day I won $5k on a dime slot machine. Slots of fun, was the place. Super exciting there, I didn't want to leave! We are expecting a hurricane here tomorrow. I charged up all the ecoflows, might have a live event if we are running on them. We shall see.

Many years ago I picked up a Hydro Mousse and applied it in an area in my backyard where we put in a stone path. The grass has done better than anything else I've ever put in that area. I've tried everything around the area that has quite a bit of shade and nothing has worked. I was actually wondering if Hydro Mousse was still available so I could try it on the area next to where I put it 5 years ago.

The Hydro is convenient, but the seed composition (the creeping red & ryegrass) along with the starter fertilizer stimulates the growth, but the ultimate test will be time ….. what seed takes, versus what dies away. Good luck with the test!!

This stuff worked great on our lawn. We have hard dirt and all i did was rake up the debris, and just throw handfuls of top soil over it. The top soil didn't even cover the whole area. Then i applied it, and made sure to keep the area damp for at least a week. The bag says water 3 times a day, but really you have to keep it damp. If it's hot and dries out, it's not going to grow. We fenced off two areas at two different times and now we have super nice thick grass in both. I will use this any time i need to grow grass. This stuff is fantastic.

I used it for some bare spots on my lawn. It did the job, however, the grass is a very thin variety. and I can tell where I sprayed it. I do a better job seeding the bare spots, putting some soil on top, and keeping it watered.

There wasn't enough of the "green stuff" in the mix. The whole area should've been covered in green. The purpose is to protect the seed from birds etc eating it, to keep the soil moist, and maybe some nutrients but I'm not sure of that. They use hydroseed on the slopes of burn areas. The mix makes sure the seeds stick. Don't know about this product, but have used different type (not sprayed) and it worked

I bought a 3 pack of these off a Facebook ad and they only sent me the sprayer. When I messaged them, they told me they "didn't have the mousse... Sorry." And then stopped responding to my emails.

Use a finer spray. That shower setting pushes seeds around.

I have been a landscaper for 35 years....it is better to spread your own seed like Scotts than use Hydro Seed....all it contains is some generic seed, dye and ground up newspaper...it DOES WORK well on hills where normal grass seed can wash down if it rains...overall seed you own bare spots or whole lawn....that stuff is junk.....

Surprised you don’t have more weeds for August. Looks good though. Thanks

It's not too bad this year but I definitely have crabgrass and some others. I will be doing a video this week on getting rid of them. August is always when they hit us bad here in Mass.

What if you used both ? The hydro seed product but also seed First put down the regular seed and then use hydro seed on top of that

If you use twice the seed, you will have twice the density... Plus you should sprinkle sand over it for better results
