Since the unibrow wouldn't fall out naturally that fast it would have kept the lightish look of when I was younger (I guess)

    I think hair does get thicker but obviously has a limit. Judging from the hair on my knuckles and hands before I shaved them down they were tiny, slim and were only 4 to 5 strings visible, and after I shaved them I notice more strings of hair and the thickness ( which is why I stopped). Each time I shaved them the harder it took, same story with my chin hair and other parts of my body. So I believe hair does becomes thicker/stronger after being cut or shaved.

    Sometimes i see 12 year olds commenting how their beard grows more after shaving. Well of course it will grow more as you get older. It will grow either you shave it or not. Same goes with ear or nose hair, some hair grows noticeably more only when you get to your 40s.

    Christopher Telesford That's actually due to erosion. For example, I have never shaved my "snail trail" nor do I plan to, but because it has been brushed up on my clothing and been eroding since birth it appears quite thin. If I were to shave, the stubble produced, even when grown out, would appear thicker for up to a month, until it erodes to a similar state

    It’s alright, if you’re older you can wax it, if your younger then simply just stop shaving it, it will eventually grow out, fall out and the thin tip will come back after some months, don’t care about some hair we all have it and it’s normal, my leg hair are thick due to shaving but ima stop and let it grow out, it’s all changing your mindset and being confident

    Hi, I'm sorry for that, while it sure can be annoying, what mainly matters now is if it is still comfortable and not any more painful to you to shave than when you started, I wish you, so you can keep shaving if you don't want more hair. There are lots of people, now guys included who have to shave regularly, especially their chest and stomach, it's normal (: If you feel it's a lot thicker, it's very likely you were headed to get some more hair anyway. Don't worry as at this point even if you keep shaving it's quite unlikely it's even gonna continue getting much or any thicker than this. And Itzel here has good tips I really agree with as well, you can simply let your hair grow as there's nothing wrong with it, men or women, it depends on the look you prefer. You can wax if you prefer, I also agree, it can be more painful as hair got thicker at first, but that can eventually thin hair out and you're gonna feel less.

    Hi, is it possible that they simply remained blunt, without their finer tapered end? Is it only a small zone of the arm? Could be also the hormones, which can slightly thicker the roots for a while as they grow, while the unshaven hair around the shaved zone is not really growing, but that's gonna eventually wear off as well. Are there unshaven parts of your body which got hairier as well?

  • @Rushil_333

    @Rushil_333

    @@oblomovhans1659 I shaved two places, one on my arm and second near my belly button (just some small areas). Both places now have little darker and longer hair than other places and can be easily seen from a distance. And NO places I didn't shave remain as it is. No difference to be seen.

  • @oblomovhans1659

    @oblomovhans1659

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@Rushil_333 Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and experiment! Sorry might only be relatively relevant if can I ask your gender? I'm a male. And for how long and how often you shaved those zones of the body? I shaved the bottom of my arm and a small zone connecting to the typically thicker hair on top not sure if maybe once a week for two months. It only grew back a bit prickly at first, then pretty much the same as the other arm and as soft as before, except of course for the blunt end not really noticeable anymore though. I was possibly already fully grown up so probaly the hormones already had the effects they could possibly have on their follicles (:. I was not anxious or impatient to get a beard, so I only shaved the various zones when I felt the need and hair started to get darker and visible. When I started shaving on my cheeks and my front neck the first time I also noticed the lighter hair shaved along darker ones, which on top of being blunt were already a bit thicker and darker the first time, though after that the process was quite slower. The root was probably already more "mature" than the length of hair produced to that moment and the bottom of hair already thicker, so as it had to produce more length it came from a stronger follicle already, but that's from the hormones. Now depending on the turnover rate of our hair, especially body hair, we can have lots of hair at full length not really growing and waiting to shed eventually and as any hair is at different stage we shed only a very smalle % of that hair at once in a period of time, say a week. The slower our turnover and follicle life (which on head reflects more on the terminal length capacity), the less of such hair is shed, the faster the more, of course (:. Our adult hormones, so, might not already be "done" with some of our hair which is part of why we tend to get hairier with age, not the only reason of course. When we shave our hair grows back and it can be exposed to hormones, but if don't worry as if we keep shaving they are eventually done with it and its follicle desensitize to them. Some people regularly shave these zones and their hair doesn't get thicker everytime but it stabilizes, at the different thicknesses our hair is programmed to reach but not more. Another aspect which contribute to hair seeming thicker because of shaving is how long is the thinnest tapered end of hair before enlarging to the thickest bottom part of the shaft and the difference between the tip and bottom as the bottom becomes the new tip and thinnest part ^_^. Sorry for the lengthiness and nice to meet you.

    facial hair is very different from the rest of the body . Leg hair are weak , thin , and are scattered in irregular patterns . shaving leg hair wont effect them because they are meant to be light and thin. Whereas facial hair is quite different in texture . And yes , regular shaving is 100% proven to give you a thicker , fuller beard . Facial hair uses a lot of minerals and vitamins from our diet hence better eating will also result in more hair replenish and growth .

    Yes, if you shave or pluck it can grow back thicker and more. Yes, it depends on who you are. And it depends on where these hair are. Only hair that could stop growing when you pluck her your eye brows and your hair on your head. Most of the body it will grow back. Some body parts when you pluck will grow lighter but some will grow thicker. Same goes for shaving and shaving is worse. Just my opinion.

    With shaving the base just becomes the new top. Feels more bristly for a while but once it gets back to the original length it stops and the blunt tip is not noticeable anymore, plus it's soft again. It's just a kerating protein being cut. Plucking can get more blood to rush to hair root, as it takes off the entire follicle, temporarily, but that's offset by the chance it damages that same bulb and weaken the hair, but it's true that if the first dynamic prevails hair might get a little bit thicker, I read.

    @@heymanbatman because waxing pulls from the root so grows with a thiiner point, just like natural growing facial hair. Shave it and you are cutting that fine point and making it a blunt edge, thus making the hair end wider, making hair feel thicker. This reason i wax/epilate areas because can go longer without doing anything. Wax once a week or two or shave every day.

    @@oblomovhans1659 That could be very true but in my case I remember very well how soft, thin but long my old hairs were (similar to my arm hairs) and how it got thicker over the years since i started shaving. So in conclusion it depends per person wether hairs grow back thicker

  • @oblomovhans1659

    @oblomovhans1659

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@chiara1363 Eh, I dunno, depends on how old you were and you're comparing to your current arm hair or your arm hair of that time? When shaved the first time hair needs to grow back and a new shaft is pushed out so the thickest section near the root which got shaved aka cut get to become the new thinnest top so hair might appear thicker and also hormones might act on these hairs. Arm hair tends to have a different timing in increasing, also varying between person. I agree many things vary between people into making appear like shaving made it thicker than in others. But it's likely you simply continued developing. Many men still don't shave but their leg hair still tend to get thicker and darker than their arm hair, despite in many case they start together with arm hair increasing first but stopping increasing earlier (:. If we don't shave hormones might act later but as hair turnover happens and new ones grow these next hairs thicken anyway and we might get the idea that resting hair is spared from this effect. Now your hormones are likely done with your hair so even if you continue shaving they are not gonna get any thicker than that!
