As a former Medic, fun fact: you can use a tuning fork to pinpoint microfractures and bone splinters by producing the tone, and placing the base of the fork on the area of question! It will vibrate the area which is very painful but not harmful if a fracture is present!

Yes we also use them to check if someone's deafness is due to a conduction problem or a nerve problem. It's also used on bony prominences like the ankle to check if the person's nerves are able to detect vibrations. In fact every physician and medical student should carry around at least 2 tuning forks, usually 128 and 512 Hz

Now it's some ruddy belt wrapped round the belly attached to a monitor. Hey twoset! Here’s an idea for a game you could play using google assistant. So similar to how you would play ‘taboo’ if you are familiar with it, you could have a word that you try to get the AI to say and 5 other words relating to the original word that you cannot use in the question that you ask the AI. For example, if the word you’re trying to get google assistant to say is ‘Paganini’, words that you cannot say might include ‘devil’, ‘violinist’, ‘famous’, ‘caprice’ and ‘Niccolo’. You can say anything apart from these words to try and get the AI to say Paganini! Of course, you could also play against each other without google assistant similar to how you do violin charades ❤️😁

I started last year, at 43. Going a it slowly, for sure, I don't practice enough and am quite old for this. Honestly if I stick to it can probably play for non musicians in 3 to 5 years at a level they can enjoy somewhat so it's never too late as long as it's a hobby. Currently playing from Suzuki 2, and Doflein 2 books and I take a weekly lesson.

@@bencze465 Wow, good to see another older person who's been inspired by TwoSet. I'm retired, taking it slowly as well, but practicing twice a day and any odd times in between. See the way you went about asking google is like you’re on the phone on a game show trying to get your friend to say a specific word, you should instead, ask a question google would be used to answering for other people that contains the word you want it to say in the answer. For viola, just ask what instruments are in a string quartet and it’ll list them. Keep it more simple so google can follow along. Not “here’s every specific detail about this object and I know exactly what it is but I want you to tell me”. Like for piano, saying the number of keys and pedals? Just ask what instrument elton John plays, or some famous classical pianist.
