I never believed it, but since I upgraded my monitor from 60 to 165Hz I have never lost a single game (yet). I dunno if its only the Monitor or the fact that the screen is also larger and clearer and thus I see enemies better/have more confidence, but it's crazy

its because they feel very confident with those setups :) and most people are not confident with cheap setups

I’d say fps and ping are the main things that matter. In my opinion if you’re getting over 50-60 fps you’re fine, and or if it’s below 120 ping. I have experienced all parts of the spectrum and that’s the point I’d say you can’t blame it on your gear

id say i agree. i played on laptop and my fps can spike from 80 to 1 everytime im trying to shoot. when my fps is doing fine, i actually do decent. so fps and pings actually does matter lol

I play in between 30-60 fps with 150 ping 💀, it’s been impossible to play in comp so I just chill with my friends while bot fraggijg

Normally smooth 60 here.. but if anybofy fires 1 BULLET. I get 8 fps. ITS SO ANNOYING.

Somewhat true but if you have input delay and your mouse spins out it will lose you a ton of fights that you would be able to win otherwise. I went up a devision and it's a more fun experience since upgrading.

@@NoHope_ it did make it better. It wasn't inconsistent spin out. Any fast movement caused it. Also with input delay you don't have time to react before you die. So it did make my aim better and aloud me to react fast which made me better. It's like a goldfish you grow into the tank you are given. I was hard stuck and now I can climb. Like I said he was somewhat right but if you go from barely playable to top tier it will allow you to become more skilled and allow you to utilize your skill more.

i went from a crappy internet cafe mouse with HUGE tracking issues and cant handle flicks to a premium internet cafe with 144hz monitor g102 lightsync mouse and i really improved overtime so GEAR DOES REALLY MATTER

gotta be honest when you playing on lowest graphics 30 fps with a keyboard that's about to break and headphones that only has one side that works and you upgrade it makes a massive diffrence, but not to your aim :)

It is an excuse but it’s a good one because some people are actually held back because of that reason most irons are hardstuck because of setup or they smurfing

It’s ridiculous how often i shoot someone and then think “howd that not kill them??” and then go look and see that both the tracer and the crosshair was over their head. Then i ask them “did i shoot” and they always go no. So it wont change my rank drastically or even maybe a small amount but getting better ping than 160 and a better setup (i have a foldup table and a laptop) might allow me to go from p3 to d1

P3 with 160 ping sounds impressive

I have really good gear but I play with mobile hotspot. I get around 50-70 ping in good conditions while on average 100 to 300. I have to deal with condition where my ping go to 1400 and sometimes even 40000. Good ping do matter a lot.

After I bought a new mouse I went from silver to Plat

From personal experience I got from silver 3 to Platinum 3 after i upgraded my CPU. 30 Fps to 90 Fps was definitely helpful.

I used to play on an offive laptop and the fps drops significanly when i flick the mouse to hard... at first, i thought it won't hurt my performance... i'm just really that suck... but after my friend ask me to play on his laptop... a proper gaming laptop... my skills dramaticly increase... my friend said... well at first i thought i was lucky i get a very good lobby... but a few lobbies later, i'm convinced gears matter a lot.

I got a wireless mouse i cannot hold the right and left click at the same time

if you get around 50-60 fps its skill at that point unless its really unstable

I think even if you have 200 fps but it is drop pretty often, it still means that your pc is a potato

Let me tell, gear change MATTER, i went from a portable with 40 50 fps, mouse 10 euro and a keyboard 25 euro to a pc woth 165 hz, 60 euro for keyboard and 30 for mouse and I went from silver to platinum in a week, my mmr was so high that on my rank up game from silver to gold i went in a full platinum lobby. Don't believe those who say that having a better set up doesn't matter because probably they never experienced what a "low" set up is like.

I play cross server with my friends on 221ping with potato laptop lol

My 15 dollar Walmart mouse works just fine

144hz, a decent mouse, keyboard, headset and mousepad is enough for the majority of players unless you are insanely good and high ranked then investing in something better is a nice idea

Honestly, Valorant is a very optimized game, you can play it well if you don't have a GPU. With luck you can even get 60+ fps without one, if the cpu is good.
