I don't keep my wraps long so would it be worth the money to ceramic coat or should i stick with a cheaper sealant that i have to apply every few months? Could you make a video on sealant vs ceramic coat on vinyl?

Nice Video Christian but Implying that you don't need to touch the vehicle upon the wash method is Just wrong! That also means you are not drying the vehicle or just drying it with air which will 100% Cause water spots. Coatings Are NOT an invisible barrier that blocks the elements and eliminates water spotting. However a Coating Is a Sacrificial Layer that if not maintained correctly can still get bird dropping etches or water spot etchings but will save your clear coat because you only have limited clear coat and Cant Polish on a routine basis or you will eventually burn through all your clear coat. With all that being said yes it does Help make the maintenance wash process a lot easier but you still have to wash and dry the vehicle with the typical 2 bucket wash method. Next Time Pre coat the panel with ipa for the coating to bond better and wear gloves to avoid finger prints in the coating. Also most coatings do require an initial 24 hrs to cure but usually its atleast 5 days before you can wash it or touch it with any chemicals.

Hello good people.. After repainting a car either in part or whole it is Very lmportant to give the paint time to gas out and cure before installing a Wrap or Ceramic Coating. Usually a minimum of 30 days. Doing it before creates a very good chance that the uncured paint will lift off when the Wrap is removed. Also if you plan on Wrapping your car it is always better to Wrap first and Ceramic Coat after. Ceramic Coatings make it very hard for proper adhesion of the Wrap.

I've experimented with over 8 products that claim to be Ceramic Pro 9H and the CRAP I use with minimal effectiveness is exactly the same as yours. What many detail shops don't and won't know between the GOOD and crappy shit is that the expensive products your application will not be the same as this. You will have to spray a very fine mist of water before applying the solution and use a very damp cloth to remove the carrier fluid afterwards. And this hose test is also bullshit you go out in the rain and try this it won't be beading as good as clean hose water! Many cheap products have good hydrophobic qualities but won't last long but the difference between the good and cheap solutions is how THICK your glass coating gets and these cheap ones is so thin you scuff a hockey stick on your car by accident your will get a scratch but not the good shit, you can just use a damp cloth and buff out the scratches and that's the BIG difference!

@@austincannan6264 5 years would be in optimum enviromental conditions and correct application and no doubt protected (kept in garage, car cover, etc) If i remember from the technical document of one brand, 5 years applied to a 'flat, vertical panel' which naturally has the least stresses and enviromental effects, i.e. quoting best case scenario - other areas won't reach the same expectancy. 3 Years would sound like a good mid point to account for application technicalities (stretched /stressed parts, full weathering and poor maintainence) but potentially even less for say horizontal piece that take the full beating of the sun. 5 year wraps are supposed to be heated or chemically removed, in contrast the 1 year wraps which are designed for easier removal due to the lesser life expectancy, so it also depends on the wrap being used.

I tested this and the paste definitely lasts months. Water still beads. This was on a vehicle where the owner lives near the ocean in Australia. Not so sold on the liquid, but as others have said, a regular wash and even monthly wipe over with some wax will work fine. Depending on your circumstance a couple time a year should be fine with a regular washes in between. The more often you do it the easier it is, and you really only need to wax the horizontal surfaces. Plastic surface are the greater problem - keep the car out of the sun as much as possible.

With a ceramic coat, dirt will still stick after a few days as it would to an unprotected clear coat. You will still need a contact wash to remove imbeded dirt, a power wash will get a lot off as it would on a normal car but dirt can still imbed in your ceramic coat

Gratz on 100k. You need to get your own facility. Especially when you film. It seems like the people that own or work there give two shits if your making a video. I mean I know it's a place of business but...
