You need to get some radios/walkie talkies. We used them on our wide beam and they saved us from yelling at each other 😳😂😂

Holly is only the second boat i have seen like her. Who built her and was her front canopy an original. you must be very proud of her, she is a head turner.

ANGLER: when you open the locks and create a flow, it brings food into the erea and turns the fish onto feeding mode which is a good thing. having to reel in your line everytime a boat comes by can be a pain in the arse, but you dont get that many so.....

Spent many a day down sawley cut and marina back in the 1970’s as a young boy. My uncle had narrow boats and my dad would help him work on them. Happy memories. Love your videos as always.

For future reference: On Foxes Afloat they learnt the hard way - on the River Thames - that it's best to approach your exit from a fast flowing river by travelling against the flow rather than with it!! 😎🚣‍♂️ Awesome video in every way guys as per. Have you ever thought of putting the chimney on a hinge joint so if you hit a bridge it folds over on contact..."glad to see the lass is blooming and looking well......

I used to fish the canals all around Rugeley and Alrewas . The best fishing was always when a narrow boat sailed past. When you think about it where are all the seagulls when a farmer is plowing a field yup right behind the tractor!

I had subtitles on this vlog and when Joanna said “floating our boat” the text monster heard “flossing our butt” the first time, the second time she said it the subtitle version was “Florian I bought” 🤣

When breasted up and about to make a sharp turn on a fast running river, try running the outside boat engine to the turn. You will get the caterpillar tractor action and help your turn. My old boat had twin engines and I would steer it keeping the rudder at midships and using each engine at a time to steer. It's a great method to moor up. Looking forward to seeing your two items of forward planning happen, take very good care and cheers.

My wife and I are off to the Lake District in September. We're going to Tewitfield near Carnforth, staying in a holiday home on a canal boat marina on the Lancaster canal. Lake District is the best place in the UK. Absolutely love the place.
