Folks, especially some Philly fans, want to down the kid because he doesn't exactly kill it at the plate, but to me, saved runs is the same as a run batted in and he's been saving runs since he came up last year.

I'm a Dodger fan, but the Phillies played at another level in that game.

Rojas’s catch was brilliant. And the crowd is why Philly fans are awesome

Phillies fan here. The sweep of a beat-up Dodger team in early July doesn't really mean much. If the Dodgers get healthy, we will hopefully see them in more meaningful games down the line and let the chips fall where they may. However, after hearing all season that we hadn't played anyone and weren't as good as our record, it was great to see the Phillies let everyone know that they are for real. Their pitching shut down the heart of the Dodger's lineup, they hit like they've been hitting all year, they ran the bases and stole bases efficiently, all while playing tremendous defense across the board. None of it was a fluke.

It does mean alot.. 3 game swing to the team that is right behind the phils.. going for the NL pennant... 3 games could mean ALOT! Have you seen any teams missing the playoffs by 1 or 2 games.. happens every year m8. If the Phillies got swept the dodgers would have the same amount of wins and some lovely confidence.

Regardless of Injuries, the Dodgers just arent playing good Baseball. The Phillies are and do so consistently, and thats why they're currently the best Team in baseball. GGs to them. The Dodgers need the All Star Break badly to regroup, but hopefully they can go into it on a positive note against Detroit!

I am a huge dodgers fan but I know that Phillies just played better baseball and wanted it more

Good series for Philly and a deserved sweep. Longtime LAD fan and for yet another string of awful games by us and Roberts has absolutely no answers. They were 50 - 31 at the halfway point of the season, and 5 - 8 since then. Pitching, mostly due to injuries has been horrific, but there is absolutely no run support. In those 13 games, they've scored 60 runs, or 4.6 per game. However, that includes an one game explosion of 14 runs vs. SFG. Take that away, and 46 runs in 12 games, or 3.8 rpg. In the same 13 games, they've given up 84 runs. 84! Let that sink in for a minute. That's 6.5 rpg. In 5 of those games, they've given up 9 or more runs, of course all losses. That Roberts has no ability to make adjustments of any meaningful kind is exactly why they've lost 6 in a row in the playoffs, and are 3 - 10 in their last 3 playoff series dating back to 2021 NLCS, to teams we finished 18, 22, and 16 games ahead of in the standings. Dude is clueless. the first of those 13 pathetic games was a 4 - 0 win vs. CWS. In the other 12 games, they are 4 - 8 with a starter era of over 9. Not going to win very many games like that.

Not underestimating the dodgers we got the sweep this series but a really good team we will see playoff time and no team is the same then!!

From an art historical standpoint, I find it significant that the producers of these videos choose to show the umpires inspecting the hands of the starting pitchers. To the casual viewer these may seem like mere overflow images from the previous inning's highlights, but there is no reason these couldn't be cut out (the same way they don't show all the other players leaving the field) but for the fact the MLB wants to emphasize that they are enforcing this rule.

I was so upset seeing my dodgers swept, but seeing the fans get the ball then I'm happy again

When firing on all cylinders, Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman is hard to beat. But I do think the Phillies have an extremely solid lineup.

Don't look now, but...the wheels are coming off the Dodgers "juggernaut." Shohei looks completely undisciplined at the plate, and pitchers are starting to realize he swings at everything with a two strike count.

Phillies Swept the Dodgers. I feel sad, but i feel sad because it is fact. Hope Dodgers make it different next time they meet the Phillies

I wouldn’t say that the Dodgers are still the favorite to win it all because like most teams they are struggling right now and not just against the Phillies but everyone. I wouldn’t even make a decision on who is the favorite to win it all because no one can. The season is still young and it’s still anyone’s guess who can win it all I wouldn’t count out the dodgers to win It all but remember all it takes is a few bad injuries and that change it all. The Phillies won last night true but the starting rotation needs to get better than this and fast. Their offense is getting better yes but I see room for improvement especially in the outfield position. That’s their biggest weakness now.

Phillies played this series like it was the pennant. Which it probably will be these two teams. And as a Dodger fan, I hate to say it...this series portends the future...

I feel like they miss mookie betts.

The Dodgers were handed a firm "No" by the Phillies, true postseason contenders in recent years, during this series. The only silver lining is that it has become clear that continuing on this path could lead to a repeat of last season’s disappointment or potentially even worse. They need to restructure immediately instead of waiting for the All-Star break.😕
