Your show with Coach Holt is your BEST show over all of the others that have a co-host. Excellent content.
Thanks Casey and Coach Holt
You guys are so right about the 3 true outcome philosophy. What concerns me is that against better pitching (fewer walks, more K's, harder to hit for power) a 3 true outcome based offense is vulnerable. No one is facing weak pitching in the playoffs.

It always is vulnerable in short bursts where only the premium arms are used, at least in any kind of leverage situations.. My OSU Cowboys flame out with it every year in Regionals. Frustrates the ever living crap out of me. Sorry for the negativity, just kind of venting about it though, I guess. That's what these places are for from time to time, lol.

@@dodgersdaily My frustration as an "old school" baseball fan is that things have swung too far in the analytic direction. I like analytics as a tool to learn more and drive decision making. I don't like hitting based on 3 true outcomes, knee down catching stances with runners on base, max effort pitching that leads to injury, and the disappearance of bunting and the hit and run. See, I can vent as well.

Awesome stuff, Love It!
I've been really encouraged with Landon Knack this year. Outside of trouble with two hitters - Petersen and Walker who he should have pitched around- he pretty much handled the D-Backs in his last start. Last night, used the CB a lot more and had a complete 4 pitch mix to keep a strong Phils lineup somewhat guessing. The first time I saw Knack was spring training of 2021 - the Bauer spring training - and he gave up a towering HR on a straight FB to the heart of the plate. It's probably going to be his achilles heel over the length of his career, but serving three other offerings on a consistent basis is hopefully a way to minimize it. He's not as stoic on the mound as Stone, but I still love his composure out there. One deep breath, focus, fire. Repeat.
Back to contact hitters and speed on the base paths. Elly de la Cruz !!!
My prediction beginning of the Year: Philly over Houston in 6. Still keeping that
Give the Rays whatever they want for Randy and Fairbanks. we need a spark and Randy will light the fuse.
Interesting thoughts on the Ohtani circus. The media interest is intense. In one Sunday Night game they had a camera in the tunnel trying to get a look at Ohtani in the cage and a couple of players (or player and coach) actively stepped in front of the camera so as to block the view of Ohtani swinging. Ohtani turns around and is confused by the little commotion. To me the instinct of the teammates right there is to set a boundary and try to protect Ohtani.
I said it after the first two weeks this team cant draft or trade for what they need is Heart
Really appreciate your expertise Casey. I truly believe legitimately the Dodgers need six upgrades at the deadline, in addition to the injured. Three of them need to be impact bats, and at least one more veteran bat. They also need to acquire a number two and three starter. Do I think they will do this? Yes! The front office has been preparing for this year for awhile and the off-season was focused on Ohtani. Here comes the earthquake. SS,3B,CF,LF,Ace, Ace. Take care!

Thanks Tony, I think they're gonna go hard after a #1 type pitcher, then an outfielder. I say that, because I just don't see anyone out there, in terms of infield, that moves the needle, especially considering the price tag.

@@dodgersdaily Thank you. The three true outcomes philosophy seems to be AF's signature, in that, when it works, it is paramount in order to win divisions year after year, as opposed to teams that are more line drive to contact. The problem is you cannot control an eleven win post season because sometimes either approach may prevail. But if you want to dominate a division and be a "perennial contender" this front office has baked it in.
Hi Casey and Coach Holt, I really like to hear your thoughts and discussions on old school baseball.

Hey Harley, I'm glad you like listening to us. Really appreciate your support
Every team has bad moment during the Season don’t worry, and Ohtani needs to practice 2 hrs to hit sliders
Dodgers need to give these AAA players to show their talents before trade deadline 😊

Agreed They are struggling on offense and have LHH OF/1B Ryan Ward with 24 HR in AAA. Give the kids a chance. Hell ... they can't do any worse.
Hey Casey, love this show but coach makes to many excuses once it was traveling, then teams play us better, then injuries but my opion is team bought in the media hype they are a super team and expected teams to be afraid to play them.
No Doc hate plz. IL owns us, nothing can be done about that.
Dodgers will make the playoffs but will lose in first round hate to say that I been dodger fan since the 70s
I wouldn't mind seeing the Dodgers get a guy like Tommy Pham who has a huge chip on his shoulder and is fiery competitor. I think the Dodgers culture is probably exceptional on the whole but sometimes you need a guy with some edge. We've seen Joe Kelly be that guy on the pitching side and I think the position player group could use a guy like that. It's a delicate matter to change the chemistry but sometimes a role player with edge and fire, who is succeeding, takes the pressure off the stars. Those types of players go down fighting too and show raw emotion when they get their @$$ kicked. This Dodgers team loses like pros.... and I wouldn't mind seeing guys be more upset by getting rolled. Maybe Doc needs to find some Augie Garrido in his style.... tell the team if they were in a street fight with the Phillies, he'd be visiting the team in the hospital with their jaw wired up. This group needs to find some emotional intensity.
Are you going to have a AAA show on minor leagues all stars?
