I bought a 1999 Dodge Ram Sport new my overhead computer has not worked in several years I may do this hopefully I will be lucky also. thanks for showing us this, it is encouraging.

when I went to the dealer ship I had planed on ordering one and I was lucky in that they had the exact one one on the lot, I have 275 thousand miles on it all put on it by me.I have the window sticker it was $24,479.00

My 1998 Laramie Cummins. 4x4 auto, Canadian truck has same overhead dodad, the dodad doesnt sho mpg? My 04 did, jus TV wondering

Now that you mention it, I don’t think mine shows the mpg either, but I honestly don’t want to know how bad it is haha

Sometimes you can get lucky and find a parts truck local. I have a video on my old channel of me going to junkyards and finding parts. But I live in a rural area now, so I look mainly online like genos garage or eBay for oem parts

Quick question bro. I just switched out mine on my 96 and just wanna know does the “comp/temp” button turn off the display or is mine messed up? And it wasn’t working at first and I remembered about this video and all I did was literally slap it around and blew into both connections as if it where a Nintendo cartridge 😂 and then it worked

Mine is a 98, and if I remember correctly, it does also turn it off

Man you got lucky, looks like it just needed a good cleaning

My truck has the short overhead console without the compass and outside temp readout display,I want one but I don't know how to make it work, mine has the garage door open compartment and sunglasses holder and the map lights the passenger side map light is broken the lense just rattles the Dr side works fine. Truck was a truck the previous owners grandpa bought new when he retired it was a 1 year and 4months old.and I need to fix the Dr. Rear door the latch on the bottom is froze so when I get it open I'm buying new bottom latches and probably spraying them with fluid film when I reinstall them, I have replacement headlights and new sylvania headlight bulbs for the truck and I replaced the factory fog lights since they were scuffed up and the passenger side is junk, with a completely new set with yellow lenses and new bulbs and sockets from DNA motoring manufacturing $27 works great and that is actually a throwback to my dad he's owned several vehicles and specifically mopars with amber or yellow driving or fog lights installed..

That’s not a bad price, and I wouldn’t go through the hassle to put a display up there, I hardly ever look up and see what direction im headed, and I live in the south so I never want to see how hot it is haha, but it bugged me looking up there and see it not working

1994-1998 have that style overhead console then the 99-02 have the sun glass holder etc

I got a used head unit for a 98 jeep Cherokee from a seller on eBay and it works great but it has been fully serviced new belts solder joints checked and flowed if it was needed and fully cleaned out inside the stereo and all the lights are new LEDs and it was fully tested, and the face was polished but mine is a reject b model grade the face has a scratch on the lense
