It’s simple, weight to traction ratio is greater on the ram, it’s got a wider tires which means more contact on the ground and with the additional weight in the bed it’s a bit more of an advantage. There’s a video on all of this stuff explained with the f150 vs the cyber truck

I would normally completely agree with the whole weight and more contact for more traction idea but in this case all that happened was the ford broke traction first and that made it easier for the ram to get traction. The extra weight and contact definitely didn't hurt either though. You never slam on the gas in a tug.🤣 You ease on the throttle.👊😉

Trust me all trucks do that when there doing this there is just less weight in the front

wet streets and hundreds of lbs of wood in the ram, pretty sure a minivan could drag a ram if it weighs more on a wet street where both vehicles struggle with traction.

It comes down to how wide the tires are and how heavy the trucks are! In this case, the Ram has wider tires with more traction.

The Ford doesn't have the 4 wheel drive on

Thirsty Dogs he’s talking about the Cummins engine, it’s a straight 6 cylinder. The ford is a V8. Both are diesels, just different design.

There are two major factors when conducting a tug of war; 1) traction and 2) weight. The Ram had much wider road tires vs Ford’s AT tires and had (what looked like) a full bed of stuff. This was not a fair match up at all.

The tires of the dodge were larger with bigger tread as well the Ford had lower tread thinner tire. That’s why it’s said to run same tread and tire during these to give a fair comparison. Those were not pallets in the Dodge. Did they look like pallets? No it looked like some sort of trash wich did not apply weight. Did the fucking truck sag to put weight on that worthless set up??? Not that dodge did not have weight but was deleted and tuned

Or maybe ALL Fords have aluminum bodies around the year 2010, so maybe you should write a letter to the company saying: Dear unsafe truck brand, Stop making the fucking exteriors out of aluminum so they can't prove that obviously Dodge is better because I don't want some random son of a bitch replying to my comment because I think Ford is the best because this dick with the last name Ford made the first car.

Tebibyte the middle patches are the only ones that touch the ground and after how much spinning the fords tires did the first round it should’ve even if it had mud on the center the second round it should’ve been off

Tebibyte so look at how crappy the dodges tires are they are slicks they aren’t good the ford had so much tire on the dodge, and Cummins make more torque that the powerstroke, just except dodge is better than ford trust me I’ve seen it a million times
