The Dodge Magnum has an interesting history, with multiple iterations and different forms over the years. Here's an overview of its evolution, performance statistics, and the various models:
History
1. Dodge Magnum (1978-1979)
The first Dodge Magnum was a rear-wheel-drive coupe produced for the 1978-1979 model years. It was part of Dodge's B-body lineup.
Design: The Magnum was designed to replace the Dodge Charger SE. It featured hidden headlights and a distinctive, aerodynamic body.
Engines: It offered several V8 engines, including a 5.2L (318 cu in), 5.9L (360 cu in), and a 6.6L (400 cu in) V8.
Performance: The focus was more on style and comfort than performance, with power outputs ranging from around 140 to 190 horsepower.
2. Dodge Magnum (2005-2008)
The Magnum name was revived in 2005 as a station wagon based on the Chrysler LX platform.
Design: This version was a bold, aggressive-looking wagon with a prominent grille and a long roofline.
Engines: It came with a variety of engine options:
2.7L V6: 190 hp
3.5L V6: 250 hp
5.7L HEMI V8: 340 hp (in the R/T model)
6.1L HEMI V8: 425 hp (in the SRT-8 model)
Performance:
The 5.7L V8 version could accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 6.3 seconds.
The SRT-8 with the 6.1L V8 could do 0-60 mph in around 5 seconds.

This magnum is a gutted 2006 Dodge magnum srt8 that had a 6.1L hemi !
