That 5710 weight is wrong... its 5575lbs per Stellantis/Dodge. Mine was 5580lbs when I weighed it (loaded trim).

I dont know if anybody else realizes but theres nearly 1000lbs in weight between the two not 20lbs like Sam mentioned. The Urus is 4800lbs and the Durango is 5700lbs

German hp numbers are underrated due to a handshake deal and also to evade strict European restrictions and not pay penalties.

Hennessy dynoed both on their AWD dyno and the Urus made 546 whp while the DDHC made 562 whp. Different days, conditions, etc but it’s as close to a comparison as you can probably make.

Not trying to make excuses for the Durango or anything but the weigh differences arent accurate. The Durango is about 5700 pounds while the Urus is about 4800. Nonetheless, they are both amazing cars and its a matter of what you can afford and your personal preference

Placed power wagons on the map with military history. Germany has the autobahn, America has Moab. Take your family for a Saturday stroll off road in a Durango and let the Lamborghini family come along and see who comes out ahead. I have never got tagged by radar in the hills with my hellcat, and I even have all my front teeth. My side teeth are jacked up. The Lamborghini family will be walking out of those hills in their penny loafers.

Before you guys say anything to Sam about the Urus, it depends on the tires, driver, oil and many other factors. The Urus is a beast and it was walking both the track hawk and the Durango on a roll in Throttle houses drag race. The deciding factor here was the launch.

Was a crappy side for the Durango to drive on seemed like it was very bumpy lol

Urus is an ancestors of the cow. I used my googlator and Googlized it to learnz it. I texturized Lamborghini Urus and went to the Wikopediator option and thar it twas. Gooly, Sgt Carter, eyes didn't no thait

The launch is EVERYTHING in the Hellcat. Without a torque reserve launch (3psi) it launches with 200ish lb-ft of torque instead of 450ish. Launching off idle or with the bypass valve open it’s extremely underwhelming.

That is the result to pay more than $260,000 😎

That Yellow interior is hideous.

Already seen a trackhawk gap a urus and the Durango beat a trackhawk so something must be wrong with the durango

Need longer road. On 2nd race that Durango was about to pull away up top at the end.

damn that was a beating... remind me to avoid messing with a Urus. FWIW I weighed my Durango Hellcat a few weeks back and it was 5580lbs. Our gearing is awful so roll races are terrible unless you know how to drop shift and without a torque reserve launch its at least 1/2 a second slower. Would have been cool to see the onboard results for each run to see how they ran. The urus as I understand it is much faster/quicker so I wouldn't have expected a win here. Good video

It’s not surprising. The Urus runs low 11s in the 1/4 and is better matched to the Charger Hellcat. Durango is too heavy and much slower than the Charger Hellcat

Driver mod? It’s an auto. All you gotta do is make sure it’s in track mode, mash the gas pedal and it does everything for you. Even using the paddle shifters, it’s like clicking a button. Unless you meant their reaction time is slow.

That is a good point about the weight also, how much does Lambo Urus cost in comparison to that Dudge Durango. Two much, so not a good comparison.

@@OldSchoolMARINE Not sure I understand. But the 200mph mark is a milestone all performance vehicle enthusiast tend to shoot for. I drove a 2012 Z06 to 176mph but ran out of road and have yet to get another attempt. It makes me feel like I'm missing something because of it.

The Hellcat is not stock. It has after market CAI. It looks like a Legmaker CAI one .

Anyone wondering why you pay only around 80k for the hellcat durango and the urus is around 200k. Well then take them to an actual racing track and you'll find out how quickly why the urus is soooo expensive. Also just sit in both cars. Quality is wayyyyy different in both.
