Dodge Dakota 2" Suspension Lift Installation / 1997-2004 / Links in Description
How to install a 2 inch suspension lift kit on your Dodge Dakota 4x4. We use rear lift blocks and crank the factory torsion keys to get 2 inches of height front and rear. There is kits out there that have re-indexed torsion keys that would allow you to get up to 3" of lift on the front, but you are able to get 2" out of just the factory keys, and it doesn't put your from suspension components at such an aggressive angle. You don't want to wear out ball joints, bushings, cv shafts / axles or anything like that. So the only thing we purchase is the rear axle lift block kit, which comes with new u-bolts as well. The factory shocks can be used still. This should apply to all 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2nd gen 4x4 dodge Dakotas. The 2wd 4x2 models will use a coil spring spacer in the front to achieve lift. They do not use a torsion key system. I just bought a rwd Dakota! I got the deal of the summer! I’m wondering if this suspension kit would work for my Dakota? If not is there a kit out there?
I just bought a 88 Dakota rwd would this lift kit work on it
The ebay 9.25 leaf spring plate - does that cross to ,Mopar p/n 55024582 ? My u-bolts and spring plates are very rusty. Rockauto sells stock U-bolts p/n USB 063S. My '03 rear disc brakes has a 8.25 diff.
Very helpful. The body lift seems to.not be available are there others you know of.

I think I sold out all the ones on Amazon and eBay but you should still be able to get them from performance accessories website
i have an 03 dodge dakota 2wd, what are my options on getting some lift? ive been looking and i cannot find much of anything

I have an 01 2wd and I’m also looking to get a little lift on it but it seems the options for the 2wd are not much, and body or suspension, whichever is easier/safer

I don't. You can get 2+ inches out of the factory ones, more than that and you will be replacing ball joints and cv's monthly. I did re-indexed keys on one Dakota. Never again.

No. If you have 3.55 gears on urs, 35's is the biggest tire you can run without needing to re-gear. If you have 3.92 gears, it turns them with ease
Why didn't you just add extra leaf springs?

It would make for a pretty bouncy ride in the rear, where the blocks retain the factory ride in the back
How many turns of the bolt to get the 2” lift in the front?

I just crank them until they are to the stop and can't go anymore. Then I roll the truck forward and then back, bounce the front end a few times, and measure to see if one side is higher than the other. I got 2.25 inches of lift out of my factory ones
