It is amazing that despite the fanaticism and the barbarian attitude of those conquerors, 1000 yeas later, in Italy, I was able to read, listen, and watch about Abhinavagupta. The effort to preserve its teachings even in dark times, was nothing short of amazing. Thank you for this documentary, hope to visit Kashmir one day.

it's an eye opener indeed and I think we people of Kashmir know very little about Acharya AbinayGupt and it's high time that we should promote teaching of archery in school textbook and at college level. This is very appropriate time that we should change our NCERT text books and try to add topic like thesebecause at present we are only teaching history of Mughals and what Muslim rulers done to this part of world.

Bhaarata This janmabhumi had great sages yogis who have laod down their entire life for experiencing & writing scriptures for people used even today and future generations yet to come.Hope our school history books are rewritten of these great people to make us feel very very proud of where we are born

These are the sorts of teachings that should be taught in the school systems… But that wouldn’t create for a slavish citizenry, now would it? In any case, great presentation on a legendary, spotless light that is sure to go on endlessly burning. May these works be translated in all languages.

Pick any one verse of Abhinavagupta and merge into its splendid consciousness. You will become Siva.

Thank you for wonderful documentary. Can you please advice some book or website perhaps to understand Kashmir Shaivism and esoteric philosophy of Abhinavagupta. I am totally amazed by this immortal Guru and philosophy of Shaivism. Currently I read commentary in Bhagavat Gita by Abhinavagupta and it is really hard to understand the interpretations that are totally different from Prabhupada's or other Guru's interpretations. Greetings from Azerbaijan.

How do we know that he had curly wavey hair etc? Is it described in Tantra loka or in any penportrait?

Very well made and thank you. However I wish that the speaker in English had better pronunciation of the Sanskruta words. His utterances creates a pain to the listener.

I wish there should be a temple for Acharya Abhinavagupta , Vasugupta , Gorakhnath and other Shaiva Siddhas Shiva bhaktas must worship these Shaiva Siddhas not Peer Baba , Mazar Baba Dargahs and fraud gurus Saibaba etc

WHY USE SALVATION, A CATEGORY MISSING IN our tradition. Why have this tremendous desire to follow Christianity? Salvation has nothing to do with Mukhti. That is diservice to the Great Acharya.

Although his message is good. But no traces of Kashmir, no costumesrral locales, no architectural details, life history fathers role wrongly depicted. No actual potrayl. Poor compromised production. Only narrative.
