DOCTOR WHO VIDEOS- Pyramids of Mars- Clement's Crushing
The hapless hunter, Clements, finally meets his demise at the hands (or chests rather) of two robotic mummies. I would say that his death was painless but it doesn't sound like it...

He got motorboated to death, not very often you see that on Dr Who lol
Death by cleavages: one of the least things you'd expect in Doctor Who...😂
I saw this scene when I was 5 years old back in 1980 when it aired for the first time in the states. Gave me nightmares! I was able to track down the episode some years ago. Crazy how you recall things. My folks were huge Dr. Who fans.
God I wish that were me
'Pyramids Of Mars' narrowly escaped being the first Doctor Who story in which the entire (credited) guest cast dies - a very minor character in the opening scene is not shown to die on screen.

I'm reminded of Curse of Fenric - a serial where almost every single non-Doc/Companion character is slain. Large groups of Red Shirts, British army soldiers, Russian army soldiers, the main antagonist, two sub-antagonists, and everyone else who had a speaking role. In the face of dozens of kills, only four characters surivived -- excluding the Doctor & Ace -- and only two of those four characters were important to the story in some way.
The whole premis of Dr Who was that it masqueraded as childrens' TV but was blatantly X cert horror; that's why it traumatised/addicted young audiences to find out the next instalment so their nightmares could be quelled.

I think you are right. Particuarly for the first 2 doctors. AFter the move to spearhead it became less Childrens tv show. Can you imagine a death scene like the one above in the 1st or 2nd doctor era? I certainly canno.t

I saw this scene when I was 6 back in 1975 and I am now aged, 54 and this scene still gives me goosebumps.
Isn’t Clements Crushing the nearest village to the priory?
