I honestly think this is the golden chainsaw of this story. The first extermination chronologically, I personally think it’s very memorable.

It’s from dead meat, a KZread Channel where a guy goes over horror movies and counts the deaths in them (human/humanoid deaths only). The one that’s the coolest kills gets the “golden chainsaw” award while the one that’s the lamest kill get the dull machete award.

I feel bad for Ronson. I kinda liked the guy because he realized Davros was bad and that the Doctor was good, and chose to try and do the right thing.

Yeah, he tried to save his people but failed thanks to Davros's treachery.

I know it's a bit cheesy but I love the way Ronson's actor conveys just how painful dying from a Dalek death ray is. It's been made canon since that it literally scrambles your insides into mulch.

@@Foebane72 Also mentioned and elaborated upon in the novel Prisoner of the Daleks, where it's also revealed that dalek death rays have the ability to instantly kill, but they turn their guns to the lowest setting that would instantly kill, and then dial it further down so that it destroys the nervous system from the outside in.

God they really gave their all to the performances. Davros has a vocal performance that cannot be beat and that death scream brilliant

Man those first generation Dalek weapons are weak. It took a second shot, and the guy kept screaming.

it's deliberate. one of the stories says that they calculate the power needed to insta-kill, then dial it down some so it's slower and really painful.

@@thornbush8 plus Davros probably wanted to make an example out of Ronson to the others in the room so probably made his death even more agonising. A few scenes later you see somebody saying they don’t want to get involved in any rebellion because “you saw what happened to Ronson”!

The rest should have been wearing sunglasses while the Daleks were exterminating Ronson.

You just had to cut out davros's epic speech, didn't you?

Maybe a special plaque should have been made on Skaro to commemorate that.

The way Davros screams exterminate always scared me as a kid.

These are the best Daleks,Genesis Daleks.

I love how Davros is like a Nazi. The voice,the black outfit.

Ironically Ronson was the first person exterminated by the daleks :)

If Ronson had to die, why couldn't they have kept him around til Episode 6? Anyway aside from that, definitely one of the best of Doctor Who.

Ronson was a good man, he didn't deserve such fate.

Ronson's actor was absolutely loving getting exterminated. Absolutely loving it.

The first daleks and one of them would exterminate davros (or so they thought) and claim the leadership. It would become first the dalek supreme, then the dalek prime and eventually, the emperor.

There was only the Dalek Supreme, Dalek Prime is non-existent and the Emporer only appeared once in the second doctors run. The only other emporer was Davros and the one from the Time War. Throughout most of the series its always been a Dalek Supreme.

Well his acting when being exterminated is probably the best out of all Classic Who. He actually sounds like he's in agony.

Sooooo...the very first Genesis daleks had slats, then they didn't for the first doctor's initial encounter, then they did again later - chronologically speaking

Well, as they ended up trapped within the bunker for around a thousand years, maybe they ended up running low on resources when constructing Dalek machines and so were forced to scrap certain design features until later.
