Doctor Who: "The First Question" - The Definitive Edition (HD)
Ойын-сауық
Watch in HD, Please Read:
First of all, my apologies. I've taken a hell of a lot of time getting this put together and i understand it's been a long wait. Many of you will already know that this is been in the pipeline for a while, and it's important to point out that this video is not a remake, more of a re-tool. The First Question was my love-letter to the show, so this video is designed to add rather than change, there's brand new clips but also some new sequences too. I also understand that the consistency in some of the footage is a little off, i really exhausted my computer editing this tribute so i've tried my hardest to retain some quality. It's worth pointing out that i would be willing to release the mix for this video if there's interest. So that's it, the definitive edition of The First Question, it's been a long while coming but i hope i've made it worth your while!
Music:
'Starvation' - Thomas Bergersen
'Battle For New York' - Brian Tyler
'Heroes' - Brian Tyler
'I Stand Alone' - Brian Tyler
'Saving New York' - James Horner

I didn't think it was possible to improve on the old one, dear god, you've not only improved, you've vastly succeeded, and exceeded any possible level that I could imagine. This is absolutely the most fantastic Doctor Who tribute I've ever seen!

Wow, this escalated a bit! I mean, it started out as a 50th anniversary trailer, but wow, it became so much more! When you began all those years ago, hyping us up to see the 50th, did you ever think you'd become this?
Watching this in 2021, really hoping LastWhovian will come back and make an updated version of this at somepoint.

11 years, I have seen most of the colour classic doctor who, but not much of the B&W yet. I have read some novels, but there is always more lots more. I have only just started reading the comics, I am slowly making my way through the audio-plays and audio-books. I have seen all the TV spin offs so far, K9 and Company, Torchwood, The Sarah Jane Adventures, K9, and soon the class. Then the extra scenes on the DVDs quiet a few. So many stories I love it no matter what their is always more 53 years and counting of stories. One day I will have seen, read and listened to them all, that is my aim in life. So define normal, because I don't think I am normal.

Can’t believe I was here when the first ever version of the video was posted, I remember the 50th, and now it’s almost the 60th anniversary. A lot has changed, but this story never ends. And as a whovian, I never stopped being one either
Me after Doctor Who finishes his final but finest moment (AKA The final DW episode): One day he will come back... Yes he will come back! Until then... There will be many tears and many regrets. But let's go forward in all our hopes. And prove to the BBC they are mistaken in their minds.
This is my true doctor who video. this video is what doctor who describes the best way possible

How do you like multiple times? This deserves to be liked more than it is.
I defy any Whovian not to shed a tear watching this! I can't believe it's taken me so long to notice you'd done an extended cut. Guess I've been lost in the TARDIS longer than I thought.
That was utterly brilliant. Which is a shame because I couldn't watch the thing without bursting into tears three times during its running time and that does make things a tad difficult. If there's an award for the best fanvid on KZread this year, give it to the maker of this.
Warning: There is too much epicness in this video to bare. The music, text and images are in perfect compilation. Go away or your computer will turn into a dragon.

The World needs doctors but the universe only needs one
There are a lot of great Doctor Who videos out there, and I've probably got most of them in my Who playlist, but for me this is the best one of them all. Loved the original too!
For me, the music pieces are only good to listen to if I listen to them along to this video. That is so much impact a piece of work like "The First Question" have.
Happy 53rd Doctor Who.

This is perhaps my favorite Doctor Who video on YT. Please, please make another with more Capaldi and Whittaker. My hope is that you'll make an updated version every 10 years :)
This perfectly encapsulates everything I loved about the show, and I come back to view it at least once every few of months. Thank you for the effort you put into making it.
Yep... Four years on and it's still the definitive trailer for the series. I gotto admit, when I saw the very first one, I had never seen Doctor Who. That video, a culmination of other minor videos and reviews, was got me interested in seeing it. Now I've seen and listened to every episode from the classic era and am catching up with the new stuff as we speak.
This is the most amazing Doctor Who video I've ever watched!Very, very well done.50 years of history in 8 minutes :')
Completely and UTTERLY BRILLIANT! Just so you know, I use this vid as a "pick-me-up" when I am feeling down in the dumps. Bravo!! Y'know what? I think I'll watch it again. :)
That was so beautiful. I've got to say, not many editors can get away with an eight minute trailer and leave it's viewers in such a trance. I'm in love.
That is by far the greatest video I have watch in a very long time and I loved how you put the movie in there it was awesome
When im feeling down and out, i watch this. Good stuff man.
You have given me the gift to the answer friends might ask, "What is Doctor Who and why do you love it so much?" Thank you.
This video is in my favourites on KZread and there's only 2 videos in there which means that this one holds a special place in my heart(s). Seriously what an amazing tribute to a fantastic programme! Bravo!
This must be the best Doctor Who video out there. It manages to show everything that is brilliant about the show. The First Question. Who is the Doctor? Doctor Who? He is not one of us and yet he is the best of us. We had to create an alien to uphold everything that is right and positive about Humanity.
Bro I’ve seen this so many times over the years, very inspiring and fantastic vid man
This is amazing! Like so many other videos like this, watching this brought tears to my eyes.
Every version is fantastic! Thank you so much for taking the time to make/enhance each of these version!
Thank you so much for making one with Capaldi and John Hurt! I love it!
“The story never ends” showing hartnells face….ya I’m crying and I can’t stop
Thank you for including all the docs!
I felt so many different emotions throughout this video. good job mate!
This is absolutely wonderful......the music, the images, everything - wow :)
I've watched this multiple times and I love it more and more each time!
Loved the original video, didn't think I'd be able to love this even more... It's amazing! And the music you used is just perfect! thank you so very much! going to watch it again now for the umpty-umpth time :))
Bravo! Well done stitching in the bits from Series 7 and 8!

Holy balls that was great! Loved the additions to the original edit, brig and other companion tributes were good, loved the use of capaldis monster speech, the music at the moment was perfect for it!
I absolutely love every version of this video. Absolutely brilliant.
Wow! Just wow! What an excellent summation of all the emotion of the series! This is absolutely fantastic!
I've enjoyed this video since the first version, and I've loved watching it go through all the changes as the seasons pass. Hope you continue updating it and awesome work, as ever.
As always, you've blown me away. Excellent!
This is truly inspiring and excellent, thank you for doing this and all the time it took. I think this video makes a pretty convincing argument for why Doctor Who has lasted so long - in so many forms that even cancellation for 15 years couldn't kill the love for it - and why its fan love it so much, through it all. Fantastic.
omg i was just watching the first version of this wondering when the new one would come out.....mind blown
You are without a doubt my favorite Whovian on KZread! I LOVE everyone of your tribute videos and have watched them many times! Thank you for putting together such amazing love letters! We fans can enjoy your appreciation for one of the greatest shows ever! I'm with "The Doctor" who commented below....this is my go to video for anyone who doesn't get Doctor Who!
I loved the other version- it was everything - i can’t even put into words how much I loved it and the music and how you just made the whole edit - See, I heard the starvation song in a video and was reminded of that original video and looked for it and landed here and .. I’m in tears, happy tears, because I love the additions to it. Thank you for putting the work into this.
Of all the fan-trailers I've seen, this is the best. You've really captured the spirit of Doctor Who! I loved the new companion and Brigadier additions as well. You've done brillant, Last Whovian!
I always think I have seen the best version, and then you wow me with an even better update! Keep up the good work!
This just keeps growing and growing!
Excellent ! I watched it like 20 times just gets me so pumped up for Dr who
When John Hurt's War Doctor appeared, it just hit me right there. Bravo sir. Bravo. You have truly captured the essence and spirit of Doctor Who.
Awesome video. Love the additions! Gives me chills!
I think its great that you've made something that can be added on to latter and sort of stay up to date This is defiantly one of if not my favorite doctor who montage type thing If you update it again some time however long it takes I'll be happy to see it.
Amazing work, I keep playing it all the time :) for already like a year :) just love it :)))
Nice work. Great music and editing! Thanx for posting
This video gives me chills! Great job!
An excellent work of paying tribute to each of the Doctors, and their companions, and friends. Well done.
Great video 7 years ago. Wow.. A lot has changed since then. And now I really understand how deep this show is. And my appreciation for it has increased. I nearly become tearful at every line of dialogue. Eventually you stop being a kid, you go through many hardships, you doubt yourself, you feel like it’s the end.. but no. It’s time to regenerate, grow as a person, move on. Hate is foolish, love is wise. No matter what we’ve done or been through, we can always be our best selves. And that’s exactly what The Doctor tells us. He’s lost so many, been heartbroken so many times. Yet he keeps going, Saving lives. The ultimate symbol of integrity. I hope the next person I am is Fantastic.
Amazing work! Thank you for creating this.
Another video after so long. And it is a masterpiece, this shall go down in history!
I can't believe I've been listening to the previous version for 3 years already and that this new version existed without my knowledge. Insta like again, great job dude, always a pleasure to see your hard work. One of my favourite, if not #1, fan-made videos for sure.
One of the best videos I've ever seen for Doctor Who!
This. Is. Amazing! I've seen the first version (prior The Day of the Doctor) but here, in new expended version it became even more wholesome and complete (with Eighth's, Eleven's regenerations, Master addition, companion part, War Doctor's tribute, Day and Time of the Doctor clips and Twelfth's era). Brilliant! Fantastic! Allons'y! Geronimo!
How have I only just found this!! INCREDIBLE job!!! Thank you!
this may well be the best DW vid ever. I love it!!
This was also terrific, fantastic! I loved all the scenes and quotes, such as: "I'm not a human being -- I walk in eternity." A lovely tribute to what has become the legend of the Doctor! Thank you!
How can people dislike this video? Unbelievable! Fantastic video, brilliant editing, I had seen the original, although the updated David parts are fantastic, video always cheers me up, puts a smile on face. Great work, thank you!
You need to do a "updated" Definitive Edition after 12's end on Christmas 2017. :D
Great work! So many feels...
The best doctor who tribute video I have ever seen!
I could cry, this is so perfect.
it has come so far that i need this video to start my day and to end it
Disaster doesn't come wherever he is, he is where disaster strikes. Just like with Absol from Pokémon.
The perfect tribute to an amazing show!
I could watch it again and again every day !
god this is so perfect, a splendid job, no doubt about it
OH. MY. GOD. this is AMAZING!!!! you made an absolutely BRILLIANT video, I enjoyed watching it so much that when I saw (during watching it) that it wasn't finished yet when I had thought it might be over, I was so happy!!!!! AMAZING JOB, I think i'll subscribe to your channel now... keep up the amazing work, you are TALENTED!!!!
All of the feels once again, great work :) And I would love a music mix of this arrangement :)
KEEP MAKING THESE!! WHOVIANS REALLY LOVE THESE VIDEOS!!
Absolutely awesome ! Thank you.
Brilliant. This is a great piece of storytelling.
this was absolutely amazing, i know im late but w/e just thought id give kudos
Wow. What an awesome and emotional rollercoaster through time and space Doctor Who is.
Quite possibly the best doctor who tribute ever. .. watch it frequently,.its iconic!
This was so beautifully well done that I cried. The show is wonderful and this "love letter" as you call it is even better than the old version, and you also gave a chance to the War Doctor to appear and make his short cameo and a Cyber-Brigadier transition when the Doctor salutes to him. I have to say that you made the ultimate tribute to "the greatest show in the galaxy" literally! Thank you for this! :)
Literally, just yesterday I was wondering if you were still making vids! This was fantastic!
This was absolutely brilliant!
Brilliant. Positively brilliant. I still get a teary eye.
The wait was very much worth it. This was brilliant! I really enjoyed how you brought Peter Capaldi's Doctor into the mix along with cuts from the your original tributes.
