I don't know why everyone missed it, the Doctor made it be able to take 6 people, thats why Rogue was able to take Ruby out, I literally said "It's limit is 6, someone has to replace her" as soon as we knew it was really Ruby!

I don't quite like the attitude of a standard/classic Doctor Who episode being a bad thing. This was my favourite episode because it is Doctor Who and it's these episodes that are the backbone of the show. Also to have a gay romance and kiss at the centre means a lot to me.

I definitely saw the proposal more in line with Crispy and MrTARDIS. The notion of all the heartbreak mixed in with the fact that he was married to River and spent 24 years with her at Derillium it’s got to take its toll on him eventually and this Doctor is so emotionally open, he’s the most in touch with his emotions The Doctor has ever really been so a moment like this would really have an effect on him

50:35 - The ring moment was definitely a River Song thing for me. Twelve wore a wedding ring for that entire incarnation in her honor.

For the Tales of the TARDIS I'm thinking of it ending like Army of Ghosts and the Daleks coming out of the orb! You have a moment like that with some old villain (probably Classic) then the Doctor telling Ruby all about them with a briefer version being in the first minute of Empire of Death!

I suspect Russell could squeeze an extra episode from the budget. Hopefully two, I do recall the first seasons having an effect lite version, so there was more budget for the finale. Some of the CGI, just feels a little superfluous, I'm just imagining how they'd have done it in earlier years.

46:00 The thing that threw me off a bit with that scene with Carla was for 1 I wasn't convinced that Ruby was dead so it didn't hit as hard this time, it would have been a lot more emotional during the fakeout in Boom especially considering the whole thing with the next of kin. And also this kinda adds to the whole issue of having so much of the character development off screen, like when even did the doctor go back home to see Carla? It clearly wasn't right after space babies cos he was wearing something different and from the way Carla was talking it seemed as though Ruby had been traveling with the doctor for a while at that point

Ack, can't believe I said "Shalka" when I meant "Shada" re: Kylie Minogue. Guess I got too excited about R.E.G., oh well.

I would have enjoyed a confrontation between Indira and 15. It would have really solidified what 15 said on Rouge’s ship.

Heaven Sent and Midnight are examples of 10/10 episodes, and Rogue wasn't remotely as good as them - indeed, for me, it was one of the weaker stories of RTD2 so far. Troy is apparently easily pleased :)

I think this is maybe my least favourite of the season. Its not horrible but I just wasnt a fan of the villains, the plot seemed a bit random, the sacrifice at the end felt contrived... Like we were shown they cant move from that transporter and so Ruby being pushed off was silly. Music was really great though and I liked the hunour. As a light hearted, more comedic episode I preferred Space Babies.

the reason he could push ruby off was explained in the episode. The trap had a maximum capacity of 6, by adding himself, he was able to overload the trap allowing for one person to be pushed off, in this case Ruby.

I feel this is the weakest rtd series so far and at points its felt nothing like dw

The doctor isnt a romance chasing time lord this completly distroy the rules that the doctor follows. Even with the disgusting romance its felt so forced and rushed. An utter abysmal episode so far worse then space babies. And made the doctor act like complete fool he promised rubys mum to protect her but guess what he is getting it down and hip thrusting is more importantly. Secondly the god awful crying and at the end and another person saves the day sort off, all while the doctor crying like a baby. Such a disappointment this series

Besides, acting as if the Doctor has never persued romance on-screen and 'goes against his rules' is ridiculous, like have you seen ANY of the revival? We've seen practically every modern doctor flirt at some point, this was no different.
