EPIC WHO I only became a fan recently back in 2011. Binge watched the hell out of the entire new series, as well as the 8th Doctor's movie. :)

Quite a bit of 11th Doctor in there, but he is my favourite so I can't complain! Awesome job, loved every second.

Merganman4 If I had to guess the footage was taken from the Blu-Ray set for Series 1-7. The early seasons were remastered in HD for that release. Problem however is finding it at a price that doesn't cost an arm and a leg since it was a collector's set. As of now it's still the only way to get Series 1-4 on Blu-Ray since to my knowledge those seasons have not had an individual release (at least not in the US anyway) :-/

I hope the bring rose back the doctor thought she was amazing and he never forgets he, he broke the rules a brought nack Clara so he can do the sqme for rose but the fact that he forgot Clara he didnt forget river as seen in the christmas special trailor so he couldnt of forgot rose but river may just may be his new companion but I dont know looks like ill see tomorrow!

I assume that the year was a typo. Doctor Who first started in 1963. The show aired the day after the Kennedy Assassination. As a result, the next week they rebroadcast the first episode "An earthly child" since they assumed that people were focusing on the Assassination and did not get to watch the show.

ace942 AN UNEARTLY CHILD WAS IN 1963 AND THE 10TH YEAR OF DOCTOR WHO WAS 1973 NOT 2015 BUT IT WAS CANNCELLED IN 1988and then the doctor who TV movie in 1996 but no show and then in 2005 they made a new series 1 and now we are on 9(nearly)

Actually the original series was never technically cancelled. It stopped airing in 1989. There was a writers strike in 1990 and after the strike was settled, the BBC decided not to do any more shows but technically they did not say it was cancelled.

james simons While you're technically correct about the 10th anniversary being in 1973, and that we celebrated the 50th anniversary in 2013, the anniversary that this episode is referring to in the anniversary of the reboot, which began in 2005. I think it's fitting that a show about a time traveling alien can celebrate a 50th anniversary before a tenth, since time is a great big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-whimey stuff. Good day to you sir!
