This is the humanity I want to be a part of, one that builds, encourages and strengthens. These people and the people singing along in their hearts and their heads as they look at their screens. This is hope, a reaching across instead of punching down or turning away. And I, we, the world desperately need to know that humanity exists so we can draw strength for another day in turmoil and uncertainty. Thanks everyone for being a part of that sound, that joy, that hope...especially if you're just singing along, watching and reading these words. We forget we can make magic when we try together, and then things like this gloriously remind us, wherever we are, however we are, we are not alone in the universe, and we are not without the magic intrinsic to being alive. @@josephwilson282 That's sad and interesting. I had no idea, and I'd say nearly all other 'New Who' fans not used to the original run and strangers to the books don't either. I think I'd be sad about what's chronicled in that article there if I was part of the original brand. As it is, all I feel is RTD made the best, Moffat a fair but less inspired second, and without them we are lost except for the occasional bright spot. A more accurate interpretation seems to be that before the 'Davies-Moffat Canon Hijack,' Dr. Who simply came in different flavors depending on author. Quite in keeping with the spirit of the be Doctor himself IMO.

I've listened to this song on multiple occasions, I can honestly say after an especially tough weekend this song finally did it, it broke me, it forced me to shed tears and blub out like a sobbing sod because that is how much it affected myself personally, tears of anger, tears of frustration. At the same time while listening to this absolutely wonderful cover there were tears of joy, not just because this is undoubtedly the best cover you have ever produced, this is also because this is the entire Doctor Who community speaking out, we have our voice, and in these especially hard times we are using it! I don’t remember the names, but that Dalek was controlled and voiced by two of our brilliant choir members who are credited among the 300+ names in the credits. ☺️

Yes, we were not sure if and how we would be using the videos, but everyone was invited to film themselves for this. Of course, sending audio was scary enough for most people, anyway. 😉

I wish I filmed myself better. And had a better voice. But I can't even hear myself over his awesome everyone else was so I'm happy with that. also I'm at the top of the credits list. I've just finished the last episode of Eleven's Final Hour.. and when hearing the music of him regenerating, I felt like I had heard this somewhere else Welp, I heard the official versions, and now I Landed, Here.
