There were soooo many overt and subtle signs of racism and prejudice scattered throughout the episode:

Their society may not have buses but she still through him straight under one.

A brilliant twist at the end. And a very powerful Doctor scene, hard to believe it was Ncuti's very first scene filmed.

The ending where it is revealed that the entire Finetime society is made up of Bowlestrek and Nerdrotic subscribers was great and very depressing.

It wasn’t just a case of their society being naive and entitled, they are all racists. That’s the reason they wouldn’t let the Doctor help them at the end. If you rewatch it again, you’ll get lots of micro aggressions from Lindy. Her saying she thought he just looked the same as the the one she blocked, that he would be disciplined and wasn’t as stupid as he looks. Then at the end she actually says she won’t go with him because he isn’t ‘one of us’. And her friend says if they stay too long there they’ll be ‘contaminated’.

I think the reason why they cannot walk without the bubble is not that they lack the ability, but the whole bubble is rotating, and if it is switched off you either go to sleep anyway if done at night or start to veer to the right automatically, bumping into a lot of things. Try to spin yourself 10 times and try to walk straight after it :))

Great episode.

The fact that they won’t let him save them because he’s black… if it was any other version of the doctor then they would have. But this was the moment the doctor realised he was black and what that means now. He/she has always been able to save ANYONE no questions asked, but now he can’t… because of his skin colour.

Loved your reaction but you completely missed the racism 😢

The only thing I will say about the Doctor being the main character, maybe they should have put it off just a bit longer so that he could finish his other commitment then fully commit to being the Doctor.

As a 60-year-old man, I hope you young people realize your future is fucked. Stop living your life through your phones.
