I just realized since Character Options has essentially nailed the "activation button-on-slider" feature for 14's Sonic, it's about time they do the same for 10's Sonic.

I had the same thought. I’m hoping that they’re going to do a new run of historic sonics with slight changes - like a button on the slider for 9/10 and improved claws on the 11th sonic….really hoping they have something like that in the works

I think the small bulb on the top (especially in red mode) is a nod to the war doctor

@@order66collectibles I wouldn't mind that either, but my favourite sonic device remains Miss Foster's sonic pen, to be honest.

I know it's two months late and you probably already know, but there's some secret sounds and colors on the online exclusive. You can get to them from a button in the battery compartment.

Yeah I found them but thanks for the heads up :) I wish they were accessible from a button on the outside of the sonic rather than having to go through to the battery section though

I used to love his channel! I knew he’d stopped but it wasn’t until someone commented on one of my videos what had become of him that I had any idea! Absolutely crazy!

These are both good and now you can get the online exclusive for the same price as the standard retail after the second release it’s definitely worth getting. When I did this review they were selling for over £200 and I just couldn’t recommend them at that price! I just picked up the brand new 12th doctor screwdriver by Toynk which should arrive any day. I’ll be seeing how that compares to the original character options one. The new toynk sells for £40 compared to the character which is going for around £100 boxed so fingers crossed for fans it will be good 👍

After having seen the anniversary specials it feels like 2 releases of it was unnecessary cause we didn’t get a good look at what it could do cause we spent most of wild blue yonder without it after the doctor stuck it in the keyhole of the tardis and it was barely used in the star beast and the giggle the color settings and chrome finish look nice but the settings feel like it’s over featured if we got a middle of the road version that mixed the 2 together we might have been able to get Ncuti’s in time for the church on ruby road even though they could’ve had him just use this one for that episode and give his sonic and proper introduction cause this one and Ncuti’s sonic we don’t know where they came from as far as show canon explanation unlike Matt and Peter’s version Christopher’s is and exception cause we started the revival with it and it’s safe to assume he got it during the time war at some point

hey thanks for doing this review. when the online exclusive for the 14th Doctors Sonic Screwdriver came out i went to votesaxon07’s youtube page to see if had done one and what his thoughts were on it. unfortunately it had been about two years since i’d watched any of his stuff and found out he had murdered someone 9 months earlier, so yknow no review until i stumbled on this. good stuff

Same here, I was really shocked when I found out about it. I remember watching his vids around the time I got into DW and couldn't believe he was capable of doing that to his pregnant girlfriend.

I ended up diving down the rabbit hole on a few of the channels that reported the murder - can’t believe how premeditated it was. On camera always seemed so fun-loving but I guess you never know 🤷‍♂️ On a lighter note, have you watched the 2 specials?

Thanks so much, I really appreciate that. Sorry I should have included a bit showing it the dark - I remembered thinking about it after and my more recent reviews cover that off now. I made a short for video which does briefly show the ignition in the dark which might help - link below. It looks ok in the dark, nowhere near as bright as the older CO screwdrivers though but that’s partly because it’s a pale blue colour rather than deep blue/green I think.
