Man Black Adam made me really want Dr Fate to have his own movie. The character was charismatic and wise, and I really enjoyed every scene with him

Dr. Fate held up a dome that was unbreakable by Hawkman and the team (who sent BA flying), made a bunch of clones of himself strong enough to hold sabbac, and freed black Adam who was on the other side of the planet all at once. Even though he was nerfed, he definitely put in some work.

First of all, Hawkman is literally featless, and sending Black Adam far away with a punch means nothing when Hawkman tried the same thing even with his weapon that got stopped by Black Adam with ease. Sabaac is also featless he also got held by Hawkman, this same Hawkman couldn’t even touch Black Adam in their 2nd fight and was getting thrown through buildings and was behind hurt badly. He didn’t free Black Adam lmao, he just spoke to him and woke him up and motivated him to free himself not Fate lol, Dr fate was useless throughout the movie and Strange turned a Black hole into Butterflies strange negs him

I was thinking the same thing: Strange can make a hundred of himself but so can Fate, and here's something to take into account...he was creating duplicates and fighting while he was casting spells to help Black Adam, so basically all of his duplicates are independent versions of himself. They're not clones, they're all Fate, with independent consciousnesses. Which is likely how he'll come back later. But basically, there is no one Dr. Fate, there's however many he wants at any given time, he's basically a hive mind, so they can all attack in their own way separately, while the "original" one does something else on his own.

@@FrostDK98 Yes, because Nubu is the God of Order, so Dr. Fate isn't just using magic he's basically communicating with a being that's the abstract concept of order. In a lot of ways, it's like in Marvel where Zeus and Odin aren't actual "beings," they're abstract entities, and Nubu would be in that same league.

They're going to bring him back that way too, say one of his clones survived.

@@FrostDK98 Yes and no. In Loki we find out the stones are worthless at the TVA, and in the comics they're like kryptonite. They only work in their origin reality. But in the Doctor Strange movie, DS was able to use the time stone in the Dark Dimension and defeat Dormammu.

It was actually stated by the director that Dr. Fate could have beaten Sabbac. The only reason why he couldn’t is because he was weakened, when he was using the shield to keep Hawkman, Atom and Cyclone out. Also he was talking to Black Adam as well when he was fighting Sabbac. So in conclusion Dr. Fate could have beaten Sabbac and if he can beat him, he can more than surely beat Dr. Strange.

But dunno if anyone recalls from 2019, Thor # 2 and Doomsday Clock were somewhat connected, hence the rumor if Secret Crisis was born in regards to the Black Winter. Wow Dan I gotta say I'm seriously impressed by you in this one. That was the smartest breakdown I've ever seen from you and you're completely right. While Strange is more versatile, Fate has more powerful magic and can do a lot of Strange's best moves, and he can take hits unlike Strange. The way he fights makes him the clear winner but I also want to add that Fate looks into the future very often and very quickly in comparison to Strange who literally has to stop and do a spell to do so. So Fate will see their fight before happens where Strange won't because he won't have a chance where Fate its always happening to him

Thanks for this. Loved Pierce Brosnan's appearance in Black Adam. Had me wanting solo films but that clearly won't happen now. Would be great though if Marvel did a deal to have Pierce show up in a Doctor Strange movie somehow as Doctor Fate. Crazy idea but would be interesting since DC won't use him anyways.

I think Dr Fate is the strongest between the two as long as he has the helmet. However, if Doctor strange can get the helmet away from him I think he would win in a head-to-head battle of The magicians. So, I really don't care because I like both of them.

Then you got the Black Adam tie in prelude with Fate. That alone displays that this guy is waaaay more op than displayed in the movie.

People keep forgetting that Dr. Fate is actually a cosmic being. A lord of order name Nabu. When Kent Nelson puts on the Helmet, Nabu takes him over. He’s literally a vessel for the lord of order. Also, as Dr. Fate one of his cursed is too see the future all the time. He knows everyone’s fate. Which is why he barely intervened unless your fate has been decided for a greater purpose.

@@TheCzx Kent Nelson is old. Centuries old. He wanted to die. He said it himself. First time in centuries he looked ahead of time and saw nothing. As the embodiment of fate. What he did was accepting his own fate like everyone else should. As for the helmet, it’s simply just moved to another host. As for Hawkman, yes he’s immortal but if he dies, it’s not like he can just resurrect himself back to a full grown adult instantly. He has to be born again, raise from a child to a man, and he has to regain his thousand years of memories which takes time. He’s just gonna be reborn in a new generation. My only problem with superhero hero movies that shared universes is that they all act like they are the only protectors of the world. The JSA keep saying, “if we don’t stop the villains the world burns.” Then later we find out Superman is actually around. Someone like doctor fate should’ve known that was fight for Superman. In fact, Fate could’ve get his ass on the scene a lot quicker. Yeah I know it’s not his movie and actors and studio deals and all that. But seriously, did his superhearing stopped working? Or did he take a break from floating above the earth? I’m just saying there are so many ways and reasons why Superman could and would show up a lot sooner.

Now look ppl are gon prolly say strange but even though fate has less feats he held down black Adam and sabbac and Peirce them he can constantly multiply and see the future he constantly changed reality all things strange can possibly due but the speed plays a big part and Dr fate is actually way faster being that he reacted lightning really close and lightning is 1\3 speed of light and consistently did this black Adam and sabbac are compatible superman in strength and superman is stronger than Thanos and fate has teleportation and durable to take attacks from black Adam Dr fate is faster stronger and can possibly tell the future and outcome of the fight and he can change fate strange has this to but fate can tell the future faster so I think fate takes this extreme high difficulty

Comics? Toss up depending on fans! Live action? I’d give it to Fate ONLY because of his significantly higher resistance and durability over Strange, until Strange can get a durability boost much like Wanda has now using magic, he’s always going to be at a disadvantage!

You can't base these battles according to movie performance because the dceu and mcu are both gonna do what they need to do to advance the plot of the movie, look at what the mcu is doing to the Hulk, an absolute shell of himself, from what you've grown up with it's clear these two houses could care less about the years of history you've been apart of their going to empower or de-power certain characters to suit their needs but I think Dr. Strange wins this

Technically in the comics Dr.Fate can have an upwards of infinite power having taken on enemies that have control have the multiverse however that aside I would still say Fate wins.

Dr fate might be able to put up a fight with Dr strange but strange always figure out a way to defeat his opponent, now I really didn't see much from Dr fate in combat and his attack on black Adam and sabbac was just too temporary and weak, plus the way sabbac took him out was just too easy and that fight could have been way tougher with Dr strange

This was honestly a great take on Dr. Fate in the movies. Most just talk about how nerfed he was compared to his comic levels, but Black Adam and Sabbac both scale to Superman level, and hurting them is a good feat. Both are my favorite from their respective universes, so it was great to see how they compare!

Fate needs his own movie to showcase his abilities. Also, you stated Strange has more knowledge, The Helmet of Nabu is a actual lord of order, so while Kent is wearing that Helmet it Nabu who is casting the spells, which give him a serious leg up in knowledge. The other thing is Strange is a human, where Kent has super strength and telekinesis gifted to him from Nabu, so even without the helmet he is strong as Martian ManHunter, it's just not a fair fight, Fate has scaled up to fight the Spectre and held his own, it's just boils down to this, Strange is a sorcerer, Fate is a actual Lord of Order, basically a god.

Dr Fate also has a connection to Amun Ra (the Deity), so if WB brings that into the equation Dr Strange just flat out loses.

Strange isn't durable enough in my opinion, Fate is stronger, faster, more durable, can teleport a lot more efficient than Strange, and can see the future to a degree, so I think Fate wins due to Strange being a glass cannon

Regardless which version of the characters… Strange is merely a man borrowing the powers of a god while Fate’s a God borrowing a man to use those powers through. Like a hand grenade vs. a nuke… anything Strange can do Fate can do better.

@Crispy N Crunchy Doctor Strange spends more time talking to Spider-Man than actually fighting. And he barley uses any of his powerful moves. If all you took from that fight is that Spider-Man would ACTUALLY be able to beat Strange in a DEATH MATCH, then you completely misunderstand lol. Just think about how quickly Wanda would kill Spidey and how Strange was able to survive. Don't equate plot armor to actual power.

@Crispy N Crunchy Maulers review of Multiverse of Madness doesn't negate his previous feats. And again, what does Dr Fate do in the movie that makes him better than Strange. Based solely on the movies, which this battle is based on, Dr. Strange has stronger feats.
