I'm definitely getting this to go with the other volumes. I haven't read the whole run, but yeah, "Strange" was a very interesting character, lol.

I was collecting DR Strange during this time, some interesting ideas and great stories. Can’t wait to pick this up!

Where is Siege of Darkness, Danny Ketch Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider/Blaze: Spirits of Vengeance Omnibus?

Just now I discovered that the "Doctor Strange" and "Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme" Omniboo were completely different things 🤣

When you read comics from the 60s like your in that world enjoying the stories your friends or mom calling you but you don't care just read that comics 😁👍👍

It's amazing I read these comics for long long time and IAM glad the classic comics from the 60s are a omnibus books better then paid expenses money on original classics that paper will crumble but not omnibus yup that Dr Strange cover is cool! 😁👍

I have 1 and 2 , and had 3 pre ordered but cancelled due to higher priority omni purchases. I may get this one if it comes on sale.

I wish Marvel would make a Midnight Sons Oversized Hardcover. Thats about all I care about in this Omnibus.

Nice overview! I've had this one on pre-order for months. Looking forward to reading the majority of these issues for the first time and finishing out the run for this series. I enjoyed the previous two volumes in the series, but I must say that I preferred the pacing and almost uninterrupted pace with Peter Gillis' first few issues and the straightforward stories from Roy and Dann Thomas compared to the second volume's stories, which were were much more scattershot, having several crossovers, a dozen issues of Secret Defenders that at times felt completely out of place (Dr. Strange is missing from half of them), and Infinity War/Crusade tie-ins that felt more like afterthoughts compared to the more integrated Infinity War issues previously. Once Roy Thomas started dipping in and out in the second half, it felt as though things started bouncing all over the place. Now with no less than 11 writers in this volume.... it is going to be interesting to see where it all leads. It is nice that they included the 'Strange Tales' painted one-shot in here. With 'Tales to Astonish' in the third PAD Hulk omnibus, I do believe only 1995's 'Tales of Suspense' one-shot remains uncollected in omnibus format to complete the trilogy now. Maybe one day Marvel will consider releasing a "Marvels" or "Marvels Companion" omnibus with all the painted comics they released from the 90s. Now we just need the 1974 series in omnibus format. Hopefully these, the Silver Age and Aaron runs have sold well that we might get some in the coming years.

Not too interested in this series. Just finished the Jason Aaron Chris Bachalo Doc Strange omnibus. Loved it.

Happy to finish this off … I would have preferred the 70-80’s run but I’ll take what I can get

I still have to get Volume 2, but honestly, I only bought Volume 1 because Instock had it on sale for $38. Had it not been for that, I probably would have never bought it. That logo change is annoying, but at least it isn't tiny like they've done to my other books.

Completely unrelated, but I want a Marc Spector: moon knight Omni, the book takes a dip after chuck Dixon stops writing but it doesn’t become bad just less good.

I just began reading EMPYRE omnibus and I noticed in the table of content is Black Panther and the agents of Wakanda #7-8 but those issues are not in the actual book. HUGE OMMISION

Have to admit I am not familiar at all with this era. Not sure I like the art and design on this too much (yes it's from that generation) but I am curious to still read it. Off to Marvel Unlimited on the iPad for me on this one :)

Normally logo changes during continuous runs like this irritate the crap out of me. This one I kinda like though. It’s not so different that it’s jarring, and as you say, there are reasons why it was done that way.

This is the start of a new writer coming in and telling a very unconventional, self-contained story. Then after he hit an ending they fired him and brought in ellis to sweep it all under the rug, the rest is mostly filler arcs. It has some art unique even to Strange, lots of glass and mystical prisms with orange lighting everywhere.

Picking up All the Dr Strange Omnibus books plus the Epic Collections The series was ok but like you said no one knew what to do with Dr Strange

I have both of the previous volumes. I think I'll wait for the DM cover, spent a lot on this month already. So the timing actually fits, and since Incredible Hulk by PAD volume 4 comes out next month too, seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Not a fan of some of that mid 90s art, eww. But i’ll have to get it to complete the run.

Dang, I don't like the look of Hipster Strange. So do I want him on the cover where I occasionally see it or do I want him on the spine where I'll see it daily... Thank god for custom dust covers!

This omnibus only looks good when we get to the J M DeMatteis run.

So for a new reader... what would you recommend for someone who just can't get into the silver or bonze age. Is any of this worth reading? The third omni I'm guessing but even as a 90's kid some of this stuff is admittedly aweful..

So...I'm a little confused. Is this the third volume to the more recent Dr Strange omni's? Starting with the Ditko omni? Or is this a third entry in a 80's-90's era Strange run/omni's? Or are they both the same, it's just the spines that have changed. Overall though, great video and overview on the book, gotta love that good 90's art.

So this is the third in the 80-90’s run. The ditko ones were “Doctor Strange” where this is the third Omni in the title “Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme”

You’d be confused but then seriously enjoy the JM Demattais stuff

I am getting the impression, one will only get something from half the omni, because the rest i mixed in crossovers. That is kinda the feeling i got with 90s X-Men. But can you get something story wise from the Doctor Strange issues or do it just fell like you are getting a few highlights, like in a movie trailer: :)

The crossover is just the first 5 or so issues, and it is near comprehensible, but it’s terrible anyway. I can’t remember any beyond that

I don’t have the first two volumes so I won’t bother to buy this one. Happy with my Jason Aaron Dr.Strange though

Will there be a volume 4?

Doctor strange is my favorite character, but I wont buy it, I would if the release a classic Doctor Stranger vol.3, thats the one, with great art, stories and artists!

That standard cover is awful.

Doctor Strange is simply the one character who I have zero interest in. I havent watched any of the movies or read any of the omnis. He simply is not for me.
