OMG I can't stop laughing at the results of the study that you dug into! I also laughed when I saw that only twenty-two people were used for their study. I found their whole site vague and suspected a lot of what you're saying, which is why I watched your podcast. Thank you !
This was so good, educational and hilarious. I laughed when you said “I could slap someone and give them radiance”. I will never look at a study in the same way again. Love this channel ❤
I'm making my own products due to allergies to so most ingredients. As soon as I started learning i realized how most product ingredients were bs. Glad I found your channel on my journey
This is amazing 😂😂 we all deserve this because we never look at the cited research ourselves. Thank you!
This info is outstanding. As a English MA and a lawyer, I am hung up on words and their meaning. I love that you deconstructed the products/company. And though we are all unique in our reaction to any product, I had a severe reaction to the sunscreen. I tried it 3 different times in different areas to ensure that it was not any other item I was using. My skin was bright red/burned on my face and then when I tried only on my arm and wrist--same reaction. I stopped using after these test areas resulted in such a severe reaction. I am likely allergic to an ingredient in this formula. I have used other sunscreens with no contact type reaction. In summary, I am off any of this company's products.

I cracked up when you said "under the eye... is it really that much better" this is honestly hilarious haha.. I really wish everyone that was into skin care could be sent this video. we are constantly being scammed because of our ignorance but your points in this video depict a lot of what we should be questioning when buying new products.

Lol I facepalm when a lot of professionals don't see the sort of things I've said in this video
The rabbit symbol is supposed to mean that their testing is either animal free or animal cruelty free.
It’s very interesting. I think it’s almost impossible to trust anyone anymore, because marketing works and market full of products. And some honestly good brands mixed with not so much. The same with cosmetics procedures, everyone is un expert and well qualified in nutrition, mental health, relationships, make up, food production . Even medical studies and research keeps changing with very conflicted results. And as social media grows the more conflicting evidence emerge so widely available pushing agenda for making their living. As a general consumer It’s very difficult to see it through as it’s all looks genuine and reasonable. We are experimental generation. We tried more things than any other generation before us. And we are putting so much emphasis on perfection, would it be ultimate diet, skin care, life style.. ect. I hope that we can reach more of its good enough approach! 😊
Apart from your awesome channel Just saying you’re very handsome I’m sure all the ladies on here agree I’m known to say what I think be it appropriate or not Thank you we finally have someone to trust when it comes to skin care ✨🙏🏾

I wish you saw this video sooner too haha. Hopefully you won't make the same mistake again now
Extremely entertaining video hahahaha. I can't believe they mislead so much on their website. I suppose any improvements might have been due to transient increase of water levels in the skin because of humectants and occlusives in the product
I found this brand through some science-based podcast that I listened to once. Anyway I thought it sounded amazing and so scientifically-backed. The founder is some stem cell scientist. Anyway I believed the hype and bought into the product, have been using it consistently for around 7 months now. My skin is the best it’s been in years and I just turned 43. - I did have a bout of dryness recently that I combat with extra ceramide-rich moisturizer over top. - I don’t like how they recommend to layer products as they say to use the moisturizer with the OS-1 peptide first and then any other subsequent serums or skincare after. (I wish their OS-1 peptide was in a low molecular weight serum). - I worry about absorption as it’s contained in the moisturizer. - my partner has been using it too and he too went through a bout of skin dryness and his eyes look a bit more aged (but he does have sun damage). I kept going as I trusted “the science” of blocking senescent cells. Saying all that my skin is; - more even toned in general (with less redness that I used to experience) - texture is a little improved but still a little rough - less oily and more overall balanced So I don’t know! Should I keep going and see what happens? Is it all just a waste of time? I really like my skin atm though so I’m torn! (I do also use Qure face stamp (microbeedle stamps) and other products containing retinol, niacinamide and vitamin C).
Can you please do some AM/PM routine videos, which cleanser do you use
I do believe that like a good diet based on a variety of good foods, good skincare should also involve a variety. Plus, skin can plateau from using the same even great ingredient over and over again. Just a thought
I'm so mad I was duped into buying this sh*t! Can you do a video on your skincare routine? Also your thoughts on exosomes, stem cells and pretty much everything health related 😂 you're awesome!! I never ever comment but I needed to express how happy I am to have found your channel and you're carnivore!!! So happy!! Trying to digest your very detailed HA video now😅

@@Dr_Absthank you.
I've actually been using this for 6 months or so now for eye and face and it has actually changed my skin for the better. It's thicker and can tolerate .1 tretinoin now, whereas before I used to peel like crazy. Also, I've listened to different interviews about its senolytic qualities, kind of like how rapamycin cream is also being touted
@Dr_Abs
Ай бұрын
That's brilliant to hear. However, even without it, the skin stops peeling after a while anyway with tretinoin because the number of receptors increases. The problem with talking about seno qualities is that even tretinoin will have them to some extent as will a better diet. It's impossible to compare when there are so many variables. It's difficult to even say whether your skin would be better this way or by using something like just differin morning and night for the same length of time.

I have very good results on neck and chest. And i don’t think that the inventor of the product made the marketing and the website for that. 🤷🏻♂️ so I will definitely continue to use it. I tried so much… and i really see a difference.
I lost more than 500$ on that. The argument that worked on me was the "peptide". I though this peptide was special and way more efficient than what we had before.

@Dr_Abs I did, however, cancel my face peptide order because of the study breakdown. 12 weeks and miniscule subjective and objective benefits. No gime, my money back, please. I'm using castor oil, ceramides, b3, copper peptides, and now micro needling. Thanks, man, doc!

I would love to see your view on the following products: - Skinbetter Science Alto Advanced - Skinbetter Science Mysto - Alastin Restorative Skin Complex - TNS Medica advanced serum Thanks!
The face cream made my skin breakout with a rash
I completely understand your skepticism about marketing claims. I decided to try the product because Dr. David Sinclair endorsed it, and I trust that he wouldn't recommend something ineffective. I primarily use it on areas where Paula’s Choice retinol products cause irritation (neck and chest), and I’ve been very pleased with the results. A friend of mine, who is a doctor, also swears by it. To be honest, aside from tretinoin products (which I can’t use on my neck and chest), this is the best product I’ve ever tried. And I’ve tried a lot. Additionally, the before and after pictures are quite realistic. This company had the honesty to showcase subtle improvements that might be hard to capture in photos, but I can definitely see and feel the difference.
Crazy! Can you please do Calecim next? And copper peptides? I just spent hundreds of dollars on OneSkin products. 😢 Anecdotally I do see a significant reduction in fine lines around my eyes, but it can also be irritating and it makes me break out in little whiteheads. (I am in my early 40s and usually have no acne.)

Calcium is a waste of time for me. Copper peptides show some benefit but I'd still just use vitamin B3 and A above all in terms of nutrients.

@@Dr_Abs I meant topically not internally. I have sensitive skin so I’m always looking for alternatives like peptides. I probably have gut issues and will look into that too. I just discovered your channel so I will check out your past videos.

Oh I see. Yeah it is sensitive sometimes but that actually says a lot more about the gut than the skin in my view. You're right to consider gut issues on your radar 🙂 check out professor Bart Kay
I used 3 bottles of OS-1 Eye and saw no improvement in my late 30s. I started getting procedures after I ended my subscription. Now I’m finally seeing changes from the procedures and working on my sleep quality. I’m an idiot for wasting my money on the moisturizer.

@@Dr_Abs HI!! I, have to interject here that I am also very much influenced by certain influencers whom I find to be very believable and seem to do a lot of their own research and personal testing. You are making me realize that has been a huge mistake! Over the last number of years I have tried MANY products, including this one, that I would use for at least 3 months at a time believing they would have to give me some visible improvement of either wrinkles or tightening or smoothness. None have been worthy! UGH!
@Dr_Abs

I'm glad I put an end to that cycle then. In general, you wouldn't take heart transplant advice from an influencer - you'd listen to a cardiologist. An influencer is just that - someone who has no clue about what they're talking about but holds a social media presence. I've seen some absolutely dumb as hell influencers pedalling even dumber products and people fall for it. Stay away from social media in general when it comes to medical advice.
