im baffled the uk receptionsit didn't say ''try phoning tomorrow at 8am''
This is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣. Me and my ex used to joke about a receptionist at our surgery, we viewed her as a total barrier to healthcare access. Amazing haha
British here, in my home town we cant phone to book an appointment anymore, we've got to make a 'request' through the NHS app and wait '1-7 working days' to see if we're 'approved' for an appointment. If its a severe emergency, we're told to go to a&e, my friend is a nurse, she said since this new system has beem put in place, our local a&e waiting time has gone from like a 20-30 min wait to over 6 hours, its ridiculous.

What? Where is this? 😳
Doctors have requested at my surgery that patients do not phone or physically go in but email them their symptoms and relevant information, the doctor will then read the email and address your issue in 1 to 4 working days.

Genuinely - is this in the UK? Lol. I'm disabled, literally can't walk (a privilege to many) but I had to pay £65 just to be seen by my dentist, (no work done at all) there was an Iranian family in the waiting room laughing at me as I handed over my debit card. Found that really strange (and, yes, I know the family) They don't work, they beg. I'm so confused at the world right now. ❤❤

We've got this in my home town too (I'm british), we have to put in a 'request' through the NHS app. Took them 5 days to book an appointment for my daughter who ended up having a severe chest infection along with Strep, took 2 courses of antibiotics

@@MrsBradford i can not believe theyve actually done this system. It was hard enough trying to get through. Just today, my surgery had been open 23 mins and i had been on hold 22.5 of them 😳

@@ScottishDeeSideEye yes i had to pay 49 just to sit in the chair. Im a full time carer to 2 disabled children so wasn't the best outcome but a necessary one
I's true that these days receptionists think it's their job to stop patients seeing a doctor. {:o:O:}
Swear when I was a kid (only 25 years ago) you were ill, you'd go to the surgery wait about 30-45 minutes outside *your doctors* consulting room, then in ya went. Swear a couple of years ago I got a chest infection, I had to call the reception at 8am each morning hoping I'd be one of the lucky winners of an appointment that day. 'Sorry no appointments left' 'Can I book one tomorrow' 'Not how it works..call 111 or go to A&E' 'What will they do?' 'They'll tell you to go to A&E or call us tomorrow at 8am'
lmao that's hilarious but hey, least the healthcare is free (ish) 👀
This so true 🤣🤣
Not even close but ok it’s funny though more like the school nurses
About right...
Brit receptionist would be fired in a heartbeat if they acted like this in the US.

They would be fired here in England!!!😂😂 Obviously, this is exaggerated for comedic effect.
