Ditto! I normally go 97.1F; 100 is awful and when I get a COVID shot, I run it to 103, have severe vertigo, the worst headache of my life and I puke my guts out. Also, hives. I was laid flat for five days with that second shot, and still had to leave early when I returned to work. I've only continued to get the shots because I have asthma. I've never caught COVID despite a public job and regular testing, and for that I'm thankful, but my reactions to them are on the extreme end, and I have to arrange time off beforehand before I get them, or the flu shot, for that matter, because both HATE ME even when they protect me. Just as long as I don't get outright anaphylaxis from them. My doctor is aware of this issue of mine.

My husband of just a year passed out when I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed, just from watching the after care video. Suddenly, I'm lying there by myself, still not completely aware because I woke up in the middle of the chipping-out process and they had to put me under again, wondering where the nurse went for the pain meds, blood and spit dripping down my chin, and my hubby flat on the floor surrounded by every medical person in the building. Learned then and there that I'd be taking care of my own medical stuff

Pffft. I freak out medical staff because I always awaken and am immediately alert after any procedure, and this included wisdom tooth removal. They had no problem telling me that they were so weirded out that I was up and about immediately, without assistance, and thinking clearly and basically running full throttle right away. They just don't see that. Maybe it's because I'm a redhead? I finally got them to relax when I told them I've always been like that with general anesthesia. I might "go under" but my mind never shuts off; I remember strings of thought going through my head even while I was unconscious...just surprised to be suddenly awake again, because for me, nothing ever really stopped. It has never frightened me, though.

Thats not even true. U still can be at the top of class or with ur score at the upper limit without cut out ur sleeping time. In fact, according to a research paper i read sometimes ago, sleeping allow u to do better at school, both at memorizing and understanding. So its study hard vs study smart.

i am not a doctor, but my cousin is, and he told me this story at a gathering recently. apparently once he had a patient who came into the hospital saying he had a stomachache, so my cousin started doing the examinations, asking questions, etc. the guy was really pissy at him and didn’t cooperate, and eventually he asked my cousin “why are you being so worrisome, it’s just a stomachache.” this man went to the hospital my cousin worked at. the hospital. and then blamed my cousin for “overreacting over a little stomach ache”. still baffles me to this day.
