Beware of what might be pure nickle strips as they are more than likely nickel coated steel. Just cut a piece of and put in salt water for a few hours and see if it rusts.

Glad I subbed bc this came up just when I needed it! I was about to buy the flipsky spot welder which also looks good - but requires soldering 12v battery connectors and whatnot. Would love to see a video where you weld .1 , .2 , .3 , .4 showing the settings you’d need for each one! GL with ur build G

I’m building a 72v 20s7p molicel p42a battery, lightning rods big block motor, with tronic 250 controller and JK BMS. The 8kw motor will be the power bottleneck funnily enough 😅

Got same one and broke after 20 welds cause inside some pad broke and screan stoped working after waranty fix works well but best i ever got

I'm sure you'll get some be battery build requests 👍

Did you have a video of you applying that statorade stuff to any of your motors? Im sure you had one and been looking for it thanks

Oh no, don't need to with the qs205 now if I was putting a lot of current through the motor then maybe but for the qs273 there's no need and E-bikekid's motor barley get hot even on a long ride

Hey, thanks for the review. Does your capacitors inside this spot welder look like corroded or are they nice and shiny? I bought this model and mine doesn't look like very good, they have some kind of abnormal coating, like it was stored in bad conditions or had a leak of electrolyte maybe? Both just look ugly.

Nice! Have you ever thought about multiple charging circuits? I had a Li-Ion built for my 1st ebike eons ago. He put 2 circuits in it

That's a good question, I ordered them on Amazon, it do said it's pure nickel before I order it

Man I just got tired of waiting for it to recharge and it was a hit or miss with 2mm nickel

Got another question so everything is ruining good but my controller get hot in only like 3 miles any clue ???

Probably it draws more amps under a big load like going up a steep hill.

I have bought 2 spot welders to weld 2mm pure nickel and they just cant do it..the weld you did looked good but do they hold up good and can this perform reliable welds for 2mm pure nickel

Handy video as just about to order one of these but unsure if it would tackle the metal cages inside drill packs, these normally connect the cells together are a bit thicker than regular 0.2mm nickel strips, best of luck with your bike projects, cheers

Nice welder brother, i have a question i have a battery, a 60 volts battery buts doesn't give enough power to my motor lack of power torque, it has a 30 amp bms, and i am thinking of changing the bms with a 60amp,do you think i can get more torque doing that.

Most definitely, 60amps is probably a safe spot I would not go pass 60a tho but definitely a increase in acceleration

I think i know why now. There are two 2.7 volts 3000F capacitors in series and that will be 5.4 volts 1500F @@E-bikeguy

Didn't need to watch the video for more than a few seconds to give you a thumb up, i'm sure you know about welders Use proper copper bus bars to draw the amps, u can use nickel strips for bus bars but I would not for safety reasons

Yes I know what you mean but it's a design I came up with like the battery that's on my bike but the cells is not all that good so it's limited to 150a safely. My old welder broke down on me but this new one rocks! My battery build I'm using molicel 21700 p42a
