"How you live with your dog is how your dog will live with you" is one of the best pieces of advice that I have ever heard when it comes to pet dogs.

This is something so easy to understand and yet it seems that many people find it way hard to get it, but it's something that should be repeated over and over again. Spend time with your dog, don't worry so much about systems or tools, teach the dog to tell right from wrong, show him what is acceptable and unacceptable, be clear about it, play and spend play time with him, not everything has to be training, maybe this is not going to be a 100% guarantee of success but chances are that the outcome will be way better than just leaving the dog to do what he wants everytime.

Couldn't agree more! Pulled an adult Shepherd/Husky/Mutt out of the shelter. Took him everywhere, and with a little guidance, he's amazing!

Exactly what I did with my first dog when I was 12 yrs old, way back then. She never did want to run off doing something else.

Years of trying to buy a Mal, because of no experience. I pleaded with the breeder if I don’t do what you say in 3 mths I will return dog no refund. I did what she said similar to Larry’s video. Went back showed what the dog can do. She was amazed. I was so grateful she gave me a chance. Larry’s story is similar to what I was told to do. Spot on Larry!!😊

I got a puppy in a Walmart parking lot , a German Shepherd one time, I titled her CDX UDX TDX Schutzund V3 she was also better looking than 99.9% of all German Shepherds. I spent hours with her as a puppy I bet I've walked thousands of miles with that dog I've taken her everywhere

I failed my first dog when it came to socialaztion, he wasnt mean or anything, very friendly dogg, but we had other problems. When I get my new pupper i plan to attend dog shows and bring him EVERYWHERE

Read up on what socialization really is. It is actually teaching your dog to understand you have their back. Going over crazy surfaces. Climbing piles of rocks. Being in loud settings. Etc. But teaching the dog no matter what happens he can look to you to guide him. And socializing is also dependent on the genetic temperament of the individual dog. An outgoing confident pup is going to need different things than a shy, unsure pup. Be honest with your breeder and have them select the pup they feel will most meet your needs. And find a qualified trainer who can guide you in the right direction.

Nice message. I find my Vizsla getting more jumpy over time she’s 5 now. A leaf blows by on a walk and she will jump straight up. Any thoughts?

I think she's building superstitious connections between events. That means one thing happened, and she connects it with other things that happen(ed)at the same time, and from then on it can build and expand. If that is correct, it shows that your dog is very aware and intelligent. Does she try to run away home at those times?

@@thankmelater1254 only on leash because she wants to run and chase things. I live in apt and tried training at a place where they pushed puppyirs to run and play freely. They loved that be before a recall as in place it was only when she got super tired and said want a drink of water that she would come to me. I probably never formed the Protector bond with her.

You need to watch his videos and notice how he touches and guides problem dogs to really appreciate Larry Krohn's work. One video I watched changed my fear filled dog within one minute when I copied what he did, including the pushes sideways on the dog. All he did was let the anxious german shepherd run to the end of leash, hard stop, return, run, return, run return, and Larry pushed the dog around on the side of chest area. All of a sudden the dog showed interest in a toy, and then everything changed. Exactly what happened with my adopted adult dog. It was the start of recovery.

best video ever Larry! so simple. the natural relationship between human and canine has always been centered around hunting - which involves exploring together and which PLAYING together satisfies 💯 🫡
