This story is something I wished to be on screen to watch and be obsessed with. Addie and Maddox seem to have such an interesting and intriguing journey! They’re dynamic is something I always like to write about or see in tv shows. Vulnerability mixed with such phenomenal strength given from horrible experiences of the past. Even based on your edits you can see complexity of characters and glimpses of their motivation, weakness and fears. Your creativity amazes me. Please never give up on writing and editing, you’re really talented!

​@@hayannesilva2763​ that's interesting to read your insight from what feeling the video has given you, thank you so much for sharing! as one of the creators of this story and a writer of Maddox, I can say that each of the characters is very complex. Each with a deep trauma and a lot they've lived through, in a setting of a story like this which happens during the apocalypse and everyone is dealing with their past, sometimes complicated feelings and trying to survive. I would say Maddox is very much a character who closes himself away from others. He prefers to push away, instead of letting in. More of a loner, and not wanting to - being almost afraid to show his own emotions. Hence why it almost triggers him that Addie made him feel something in some way, when through all these years he couldn't seem to stand this woman's presence. He doesn't want to feel none of it, and hates the fact that Addie had the chance to see his vulnerability. That would depend from the reader's perspective to define on their own whether is that he's placed in the toxic category. He definitely isn't saint. No one is in this story. And he does sometimes say or do things which are not right and hurtful, being blinded by his own fear of letting people in, preferring to be alone. His past, childhood, things he had lost and done are definitely a part of these mechanisms. He's just scared to feel, believing he's destined to be alone.

​@@hayannesilva2763complicated men are just so interesting in fiction! Very much same here! It's just a lot of layers to it which get discovered with time, but sometimes not even entirely in the end. Penelope's books do be hitting hard! I do have in plans at some point for a singly Maddox focused video, so if that one ever reaches the light, I hope it will be able to give you a little bit more of an insight to his character and who he really is!
