Hey Nick question for ya. I’m a pool player but not a snooker player and I’m about 5 foot eight and I’ve noticed a Lotta good players have a flat back it seems to me no matter how I stand my back is not flat. Could that just be an anatomy thing?

It will be flexibility. After a hot shower every morning just do five mins a day for a month of back stretching (leaning forwards to touch toes / backwards to look at ceiling / sideways left and right) to gradually gain flexibility. Also practice putting arms vertically up towards ceiling and as far back as possible to allow your bridge shoulder to be as low as possible on the table. Many people cannot point their arm vertically to the ceiling, which for the bridge arm means the shoulder is as high as their ear and the back is too high.

Yes - wonderful to watch isn't it. And Shaun Murphy tends to stay down even LONGER when he misses.... a habit all club players would benefit from.

If a 40 or below break players know the importance of this drill, they will do it drill everyday. It made me a different player all together.
