This lecture reminded me of my childhood thoughts after all these years, SubhanAllah! I identified the exact same traits of some ppl around me and knew from then that it hinders the character of being truthfulness. This is how I used to identify ppl who are not good in their hearts and minds. I love ppl who listen and make Intellectual response rather than argue for the sake of arguments and used to avoid and dislike unnecessarily argumentative ppl. SubhanAllah! Allah (swt) opened everything clearly to us in His holy book!

For anyone interested here's the full translation: وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍ مَّهِينٍ Hallaf - vain oath-taker. One who swears to Allah (saying wallah) while lying Maheen - Despicable, vile هَمَّازٍ مَّشَّاءٍ بِنَمِيمٍ Hammaz - slanderer, one who attacks people's reputations especially behind their back Masha' benameem - gossip-monger, especially to cause trouble between people مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ Manna' lilkhair - withholder of good Mo'taden - transgressor Atheem - evildoer عُتُلٍّ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ 'Otollen - brute, violent Zaneem - some translate it as one who's known to be evil, evil being their main characteristic. Others translate it as illegitimate child.

You can set boundaries and have discussions without falling into the trap of arguing. Don't tell other pull you into the cycle. It takes a lot of self-control to control yourself and to steer the tone and direction of a conflict
