Because of your teachings. I started 10 minutes a day for about 3 years. It's saved my life and helped me reclaim my life as it should be putting God 1st. I also regularly take notes during the homily. I journal regularly not consistently as I am with my prayer. Love your books and enjoying your videos that keep popping up. Yesterday I started an email to ask my priest to teach me to pray. Then this KZread popped up. I didn't even send the email. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

I just found you. Never heard of you until you came in my email this morning.I watched this entire video and prayed with you. You brought me to tears, deep woah filled tears. I’ve never heard anything so profound and spiritual in relation to Catholicism. I’m stunned. I’m reflective. I’m sitting here integrating your words and delivery of them. I am moved beyond belief. Jesus told his disciples that when you pray say these words. Our Father who art in heaven etc. It's the lord's Prayer. He gave me this prayer under my breath one evening when I was in possible trouble it just flowed from my being i never knew it existed until that night. Turns out that prayer saved me through that situation. But to this day I still can say those words that came out of me they are forever burned in my mind. I can't even remember how to quote psalms 91 ! Or remember any other very short scripture. All I'm saying here is don't waste your breath when there's a Prayer Jesus has given us to pray and it's alive and GOD hears us. The Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:5-15

Excellent presentation on the importance of daily prayers for everyone.

I paused at about 9:40 because I had a brief thought. Your words at this point had me thinking of one of the Transfigurations; a voice came from heaven saying, This is my beloved Son, Listen to Him. In our daily prayer, we need to pause in silence and listen to Jesus.

Setting aside time each day no matter how short or long for prayer is an important part of my day! Thank you for sharing your message, Matthew. Very inspiring as always!

Thank you. I needed this to guide me. I play this video each day and you lead me in something so important that I have struggled to do for such a long time

So often when I pray I become very distracted and I tend to stay distracted while I "recite" the prayer as the background to whatever I'm doing or thinking about. My goal and hope this Lent is to pray more conscientiously, more intentionally with more attention and devotion. To realize that when the Holy Spirit calls me back, to make a concerted effort to stay connected with and in that prayer. And to have that discipline built during Lent stay with me. So, I'm doing better than I'd hoped but not as good as I'd like. I have better days when I feel that most of my prayer day has been intentional and connected and some days where I seem to spend all day coming back on line and several times during those days where I don't try as hard. But I am persevering.

So glad to hear you are building up your prayer life. Honestly, it's hard for everyone, even the great saints dealt with what you're describing. But all they did, and all we can do, is persevere and be ready when we hear the voice of God. Keep going!

I learned how to really pray during Covid Lockdowns, I found an outside kneeler and statue of Mary at a St. Mary's Church close to my home and it was their I really learned prayers.

Mattew Thank you for your reply. I know for a fact that the more time I spend in prayer the more God reveals his love for me. Matthew, thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm an Ambassador and have tried the "prayer process" off and on for at least THREE YEARS (probably longer). I'd attend an event, or read a book, or listen to a CD, or watch a video and resolve to try it again. But always unsuccessfully. When you prayed it "with us" in the video tonight, it finally clicked for me. Thank you again.

I am in the process of becoming Catholic! Thank you so much for your videos! They are very helpful to me. I have always talked to God like He was sitting cross legged on the floor with me, lol. I didn’t know Catholics did that too!! 😉 Seriously, most protestants believe that Catholicism is all about rituals and formal recitation of uniform prayers. That’s what I always thought, anyway! 🙈 I am so excited to have found that nothing could be farther from the truth! Everything I am learning just draws me deeper into a genuine authentic relationship with Christ. It’s ALL about relationship!! Appreciate your ministry so much!☺️

I just wanted to let you know Matthew, without listening to your videos about the 4 characteristics of a dynamic Catholic and the story about a worldwide pandemic from years ago, I don’t know where I’d be on my faith journey or in life. Thank you Matthew for directing us to this talk on prayer from Best Lent ever? I have been praying about the same different family situations what seems like forever. Not sure if I hear the answer. Now what I have been praying about needs decison to be made not by just me, but other family members. How do you know how God is answering specific prayers for situations? My prayer life has grown and flowered this lent. Working with your book, the videos and Digging the Well Before you Get Thirsty are a big part of it. I'm not into Journaling but it is easier right now to sit and write more than ever as well as spending time in silence

I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation! It has enlightened me tremendously. I have one question that has been concerning me...You separated us as Catholics and Christians. Aren't we not both? My 11 yr old son was asked this question by one of his classmates that is from another sect and I told him that the true answer was he was both Catholic and Christian but I felt like you separated us as Catholic or Christian. Can you clarify that for me...Sorry

Good meditative game plan but IMO, every single day should include at least one Holy Rosary and/or Divine Mercy Chaplet. Prayer is a discipline of ones' faith.

So sad, our priest never locked our church during the lockdown, we were blessed. Now our church is packed at every Mass. I really believe because our parish never watched Mass on TV. On the other hand, churches nearby that shut down, now have very low numbers coming back to Mass, this is tragic. We should have never shut down, we needed the Eucharist more than ever during the pandemic. I lost my husband to Covid and feel so lost and lonely but I’m so blessed to have my faith. Thank you Matthew for this talk.

That was meditation that your friend taught you. SSPX priests teach us that on Saint Ignatius Loyola retreats, aka Ignatian retreats. All Catholics need daily meditation. Contemplation is when God takes you out of yourself and shows you Himself. Saint Theresa of Avila wrote that some RARE nuns are unable to pray contemplative prayer and should then be grateful for meditation.
