HOW YOU CAN SHOOT VIDEOS FOR KZread
I'm a newbie. Convenient to shoot video on phone as it's always with you, so you never miss a shot. Here's GOOD shooting technique:
Set your phone to shoot at 1080 at 60 fps or 4K (Settings: Camera: Record Video), point your phone horizontally & record anything that interests you in up to 10 second clips for easier editing later. Latter is not a hard rule. If something interesting going on, record longer to capture the event. Later, edit your clips down to between 2-5 seconds, depending on how interesting clip is & join them together into a story. That's it!
I chose to shoot at 1080-60 fps on my iPhone 6S to save on file size, but choose 4K if you want the best resolution (tradeoff is slow motion option maybe unavailable in editing your video depending on your editing software).
What makes a scene interesting? Usually if there's motion/action inherent in it, so try to add motion to a clip like passing scenery from moving car; walking up to and through a doorway, etc. where possible. This gives viewer feeling they are right there, seeing what you're seeing.
Editing your clips between 2-5 seconds is also not a hard rule, make an exception if the clip is especially interesting. If you watch documentaries, commercials, etc. you'll find each scene is usually between 2-3 seconds long.
When putting clips together make a story out of them with a beginning, middle & end. The first clip should imply a beginning, like getting into a car to start a journey or you talking about what's going to happen, etc. The end clip imply an end, like a sunset, leaving the place, etc.
I edited my clips in iMovie for Apple, software is free. Simple to use & robust. For Windows 10, use Video Editor, which is also free.

Here's the gear I used with my iPhone to make shooting video easier. Gear was light & portable. I could easily carry it around my neck & conveniently fits in my sling bag.
I spent less than $200, so doesn't cost a fortune to get started. Can always move up to pricier gear as you get better shooting video.

My son is 11 and is a big fan of bruce lee A great shame he died so young but what a legacy he leaves behind . A top man .
