I totally understand the whole "introvert performer" thing. I grew up loving art and being really drawn into performance art like theater, acting, puppetry, etc. But whenever I got put into a play or anything where I had to be on stage or in front of people I would panic. Ended up becoming an animator, which I've heard described as 'shy actors'. I am still drawn to puppetry a lot because of the tactile quality and the immediacy of the stage and the audience reaction. Thank you for the inspiration!

Just made a donation, thank you Adam for inspiring me, and helping me get into a cool new hobby, and maybe in the future; a career. I’m not deep into the puppeteer community, but I can see that your talent has touched many. As someone who has a father battling his own medical issues, and a friend with cancer, I can feel and understand the struggle, as a family member or friend may.

Interesting video. I'm an introvert myself ( INFP ( MBTI ) ). Everything I've done as a puppet artist ( as well as a cartoonist / animator / independent filmmaker ), I mainly done myself for the most part. I’ve been into art for almost 30 years now. I’ve started my own satirical sketch comedy puppet show for 24 years and 17 years for the filmed version ( currently on season 16 ). As well as short films, videos, comics, etc. I've always felt different from the world around me and I know I am. I'm a queer non-binary trans woman, I'm on the autism spectrum, I battle with depression and other anxiety related mental health stuff. I always felt that art was always there for me. What I love, what inspires me, entertains me and artistic expression ( especially satire and humor ). I sort of peak into puppetry communities / organizations from time to time. I’ve participated in the 48hr Puppet Film Project ( 2021 & 2022 ).

I was bullied most of my school life so I never fit in anywhere, would of been nice to be part of a community that appreciates and encourages your artistic skills.

Hi Adam, I just read your story and wanted to connect with you in solidarity. I was also diagnosed with grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma last year at the age of 38 and just completed my eighth cycle of Temodar. Our stories have many similarities though my arts were playing drums and sewing clothes. I want you to know my family is with you and that talking to others who have experienced not just cancer, but the same diagnosis was important for my mental health. It's hard but I'm grateful for every day and wish you the best!

Never Fit in anywere and...well the thing is that in preschool always point it at me like the Bad boy of the classroom...wile the real bullies pretended to be the victims... It was hard for me to find my place...

In Ireland we only have Puck a puppets and talk to the puppet but no learning course in Ireland to learn how to make puppets or how to work them? I think that Ireland needs to up grade more and teach people how to make puppets and cartoons more. Why cant we have both? There both awesome and wonder full? One team can do puppets as the other team does the cartoons. half and half Better puppets then what Paper Panther does, there puppets are made out of paper, which is a waste of time and money because there not going to last long and they break too easily. At least the Muppet's are made out of flate and last longer then there puppets and they can be re made too or the puppets like what Tim Burton friend makes there made out of clay and metal and faberit. And he still make's puppet movies to these very day like Wendell and Wild that movie is great and awesome. Totally watch it man its very good you wont regret it I promise. I hope that Ireland will up date sooner then later, trying to get into cartoons or puppets is a nightmare and it sucks because its very difficult to do so hear in Ireland because they think that its for kids and they don't see it as a big time at all.

I was bullied a lot so I would love to have friends in these 2 different programs. ❤🎉

@@cinemarionette My friends bully me a lot and hated my art, they even called my art gay. Talk about jerks and I now have one book in my name and they cant say any thing about it. But I can because I love my charterers and my stories too. People who bully you are loser and creeps there not worth your time any ways. With friends like that who needs enemies? Your better off with out them.
