Actually social media platforms are American. So they have American algorithm which is harmful. People were so crazy about this game earlier, and I don't really agree that it can lead to any crime.

You should pull up the data of adults causing violence under the influence of alcohol. Yet no one raises question on alcohol, or ask to ban it. I played pubg daily for 2 years, knew at least 10-15 friends who did too. None of us turned violent. My cousins played it too, they are still normal. The cases of kids turning violent because of video games are extremely rare. But you know what’s not rare? Kids turning violent because of shitty parenting, due to abusive teachers, due to bullies at school or due to seeing similar behaviour in their family. Violence due to video games is nothing compared to them. Our elders just like reject whatever is new, because new scares them.

The last line you mentioned is very very true. They(Enders) yell, curse, fight, abuse and disrespect people in front of their children and then blame the child's agressive nature on gaming. I totally agree with this. 2-3 yrs back I still remember how badly addicted I was with Candy Crush.

Candy crush is the most addictive game I have come across. I end up about 3hrs every time I play it.

From communal riots to crimes, everything is present since the creation of mankind. Sadly, people do not evaluate the impact of isolation. I think the only problem with video games is that they are too addictive ..It's people's mindset and environment which leads to crime. As we know everything has good and bad. Like playing video games increases our cognitive skills and decision-making capability. my mantra is **LIVE LIFE WITH NO REGRETS AND NO EXCUSES**

Totally agree and I would like to add one more thing. In most cases Its not the fault of the game but of the parents and the person who is playing that game. Most games have an age limit (eg PUBG is 18+) and when kids of age 8 and 10 play that game which is not meant for them then It will definitely have a negative effect on their mental state. Instead of banning these games Parents should focus more on their child, they should monitor what games their child is playing and whether he is allowed to play that game or not.

Addiction is the main problem Not games if you are addicted to anything then it will always affect you mentally and physically in a negative way. PUBG is violent or not I don't know much about that but addiction to PUBG in completely wrong Many of friends play PUBG or COD in tuition, home whenever they can that's wrong and that is the main problem It is addiction and nothing else

🤔in some cases pubg might be blamed falsely so as to hide the real truth behind the crime as everyone is criticizing it, thinking that it will go unnoticed under the big blanket of collectively criticizing and particularly targeted thing like pubg through which they can escape easily out of the crime which they committed by using it as a tool.

Very interesting insight, as student who's learning game art and design. I am majorly taught how to make games appealing to increase revenue of the company rather than making society violent. Although, as you said they actually don't make society violent, but I am very cautious that in future they could polarise the environment. In India for example, as the industry is young we have this idea of making games related to our mythology and culture. Which I totally support and think is a great way to showcase our stories and values. But, what still worries me is the impact of those corporations in the future, if they move from creativity oriented to profit orientated business model. As, game industry is bigger than music and cinema combined in the globe. They might have big impact in manipulating the truth I feel. Your unemployment idea could also get merged with identity manipulation. Well, I hope we don't see this version of future and this flourishing industry choose and stay on a more creative path.

I had read in the news paper that a young teenager died because he didn’t eat, go to the bathroom or even drink water for 16 hours straight because he was too busy playing video games. Even that weird suicide game which was popular not long ago lead to alot of youngsters to doing bad things. So yes, addiction is bad. Any kind of addictive behaviour is bad whether it’s related to games, substances or anything else.

But not due to my work timing I don't have much time to play the game and hence, I uninstalled it. And related to that time limit part, Asphalt and othe similar racing games has a fuel indicator kind of limit that allows you to play until the fuel is exhausted and it takes 3-4 hrs to replenish completely. This breaks the continuous play time and helps to prevent addiction, this is what I think.
