My goals are master sets and I PC Jolteon. That’s my guy. So most of my money goes into that

I think I started pokemon tcg collecting back when I was 10. I loved playing all the games back then, and I opened a ton of packs too. Unfortunately I had an addiction problem with it, I tend to hyperfocus on interests and it can last for years. So I stopped collecting cards for more than 15-20 years and just focus on other things. So, I started recollecting cards back a couple years ago, and I absolutely loved the sword and shield cards. I loved learning all the cards I missed out on, there was sooo much I missed. I like watching these vids, and all this talk on pokemon cards makes me want to go back to the old days!

I’ve been working on a really cool binder that has helped me streamline my collection goals and made the hobby more reasonable for me. Page 1 is all Blastoise cards from all different eras, the next section is my 151 master set that’s still in progress, then the third section is a collection of my favorite artworks of the original 151 Pokémon across all different sets! It’s really cool to see all you do to support this community and this hobby Danny. Thank you!

I've only recently started collecting again. When I was a kid I didn't have many opportunities to get pokemon cards, but now that I'm an adult and I've seen so many people on KZread opening packs and collecting cards, I've decided to start myself. I started with only Bulbasaur, and I've moved into cards that I think look great, and art styles I like.

I'm amazed with your giving heart to the Pokemon community. You give without a hidden agenda with only the truest intent and gracious nature. Please don't change. Not many like you in a hobby full of greed and ulterior motives.

Man, I know this is a TCG channel but I have some major regrets about not completing my VGC collection before 2020. TCG wise, I still remember my first edition holo dark Charizard that I pulled myself in a pack, and that card never left my side my entire childhood. Love this!

This seems like a very wholesome channel/community. You got a new subscriber! Got into collecting pokémon cards a couple of months ago, and it's been a blast. I feel like a kid again opening up packs and sorting through my binders, I love it! I got the biggest vaultx binder I could find and I'm currently working on a crown zenith master set and a complete vstar universe set. I'm nowhere near finished and it's probably gonna take a long time to complete it, but I'm just enjoying the ride.

I had my childhood Pokemon collection binder stolen when I was a kid which was filled with a variety of different cards from the EX era to HG/SS era (including some Gold Stars & Legend cards), so I have been working on gradually acquiring some of those cards again to at least get it somewhat close to what it used to be. Unfortunately, given how crazy the market is now with a lot of the vintage cards, this goal feels more and more out of reach. But, having any help whatsoever from you would be incredible! Thank you so much for all that you do, Danny!

same exact for me except I had base set cards/fossil/jungle/Team rocket and Gym heroes cards. Including the bigger hitters and this kid named Matt Shuel stole them by pulling out the holos and replacing them with Muks lol.

I used to have FOMO when new sets came out and the idea that I had to complete a set while the products were still available in stores. Slowly I started to realise that I don't have to collect every set and don't have to collect a master set. This idea gave me rest and made me enjoy the hobby again. 😊

Just this past Sunday, my living space was flooded by a water pipe leak from the heater, resulting in me losing a good half of my SV collection since I’ve gotten back into the TCG last August (more than $1000 of cards). As a student at uni, that represents a LOT of the money I’ve made in the past few years. Very demotivating, but I’m going to try my best to get a lot of it back

I will never forget that I had a near complete 1st edition base set as a kid, including a few zards that were scratched and clearly showed how “well loved” they were. I never imagined that one day a pristine condition one would be the price of a nice house. Would love to have one in any condition today!

I would love to have a complete master set of pokemon 151. Really hard as a single mom in this economy. I just enjoy watching everyone opening packs for now. 😊 thank you for all that you do for the community!! 🙏🏼

Great advice, I think at the end of the day diligence will get you far with this hobby. Doesn't mean making a job out of it but this there's gonna be work involved if you want the best deal. Big advocate for the spreadsheet with links or using your favorite collection tracker, does a lot of the leg work for you. I've started collecting every card of certain pokemon and they've been super helpful. Finished up Victini and Leafeon without breaking the bank and it's been helping a ton with the bigger projects like Swampert and Groudon.

Our top grail is the Evolving Skies Umbreon - my kids have both loved the look of that card and that set and chase for that card is what got my youngest into the TCG, he is now starting to get interested in playing the TCG rather than just collecting which has renewed my passion in TCGs, possibly playing our first league challenge this weekend( last competitive event for me was a regional for Magic in 2005). My oldest is also a huge Eevee fan!

What I like most about this channel is how much of a fan Danny clearly is. Nice to see someone so consistently excited about what he is talking about.

My grail goals - I need approx 23 art booster packs to have every single art set and booster pack from XY, SM, and SW&SH. I need 7 cards to complete Pokémon Go, and approx 70 cards to complete 151. That's where my $1000 would go!

As many collectors, I would really like to find some cards that bring back many childhood memories of trading at the bus stop or on the bus on the way to school. Those cards are special in a different way.

Definitely need to have collection goals to keep your budget under control. For SV, I’m trying to collect all the cards where there are two IR cards and one SIR card that tell a story. 151 made that a little more expensive but still feasible within my budget.

I stopped collecting Pokemon about 8 years ago but I finally came back into the hobby around a year ago after I watched one of your videos. I just want to thank you for creating your videos otherwise I would have never started collecting again! Much love from Australia

When I was a kid, my favorite cards to collect were WOTC. They hold a special place in my heart, even today. I started to collect during the Diamond and Pearl era and stopped shortly after BW. XY Evolutions got me back into collecting due to Pokemon bringing back the classic design. I’ve been collecting on and off since then. While there are some great modern cards, nothing will come close to WOTC for me. If I win, I’d most certainly want something from that era. Good luck everyone!

I used to feel a bit of stress, having to complete sets while the products for that set are still on the market. But i have now came to accept that it's fine picking up the cards that im missing later on in time. Honestly it makes me enjoy the hobby so much more not feeling like i am breaking my wallet while also still trying to complete as many master sets as possible, just in a much slower approach.

One of my goals is to open some true vintage packs, which as we all know are unobtainable for most people. Just the rush of feeling like it's 2003 again opening pack after school must be amazing.

As a younger collector, I love the educational videos on how to stretch my collection dollars! I think I would buy every Heracross card I could find in a PSA 10 since he's my favorite Pokemon. I don't know why I chose him when I was young and stuck with it lmao.

Picking my niche of Ghost cards was the best thing I could've done. Plenty of sweet Grails to go after and even more inexpensive beautiful cards to collect.

I love seeing all these stats! Makes it more entertaining to see people pull cards I know about. Also helps me know my collection's worth.

i was collecting as a kid when it was big time in the states gave up around base set expedition. I remember in 2010 selling alot of singles from my collection. I had all of the "shining" cards in first ed, several copies, and i sold them to a card shop to help get money for my dogs kidney surgery. i was 15 and they took advantage of me and im still real sad about it. I got back into it in 2020, dont have much, just like opening for the most part. but i want my shining zard back. i know it wont be first ed lol but i want it back.

Now im starting of with empty handy but lots of childhood memories :) it would be lovely to have some more cash to speed it up :D

I've made it my goal this year to complete one entire master set. I'm leaning towards working on Base set or Jungle set (because I have 85% of the cards from when I was heavy into collecting 15-20 years ago). Second on my list is I'm currently working on 151.

I've been chasing a couple of goals in a Snorlax collection and a Tomokazu Komiya collection since coming back to the hobby with 151. Getting some of that filled out would be wonderful.

Ive been chasing alt arts for the past few months now. idk if they will go up in the future or not, but pull rates are bad and costs of sealed product tend to go up. The umbreon is probably my grail right now in a 10. There are a ton so I'm just waiting on a good fair price. But if I could buy something else, its probably one from this list crystal lugia, shining charizard, shining mewtwo, mew gold star, charizard gold star. Id even consider buying a few lower tier cards too. So many options.
