i’m not even stuck on safe mode, i simply can’t open games without then crashing and even safe mode crashes when i try to reset the ps5

So my ps5 is doing this thing where whenever I go into an application it does let me use my controller it’s not frozen it just won’t let me do anything it’s like the controller is dead but it’s not💀 any fix?

It won’t let me use them buttons on safe mode except for reinstall system software.

You’re not the only one I’m dealing with that rn. Even when I try to update the system software in safe mode. It still says “something went wrong” I’ve heard the usb doesn’t work either

It will do a local reinstall and then update to the newest version after it resets

I cnt get anywhere from the Safe mode screen, what now!?

Does a reset take me back to the original firmware and can I use online features with this firmware, data transfer from a ps4 is my only real concern. The most recent firmware update has prevented me from data transferring ps4 game to ps5

Unfortunately you cannot rollback a firmware update, even if you reset and reinstall system software the firmware will remain unchanged

Having an issue where the screen freezes upon boot up of the home screen.. after 5 seconds the screen freezes and I cannot do anything. I have tried every method online and still does the same thing. Only had the console like 3 months. Now I am seeing this is a common issue... I do love the PS5 but as a person who came from Xbox family for over a decade... this has me with a bit of buyers remorse. 😒

@@angelotiacc Yes I am, I am being given a replacement console. Thankfully I had a warranty. There is no real solution to the issue. More than likely you may have to get a new one.

It wont enter safe mofe for me at all no tv signal

My ps5 was on my tv and started showing a black screen and safe mode wouldn't show up. I moved it to my monitor and it was working. I went to safe mode and cleared cache and it worked on my tv again. But a few hours later it's a black screen again.

Sounds like a display setting. Try lowering your resolution on the PS5 in the settings. Also check your HDMI cable

Yeah clearing the cache doesn't damage the console in any way

Same here, I press and hold for the 2 beeps but it just turns it on and shuts it down again after the second beep.

Your not putting the disc in backwards are you? Very easy to do with PS 5. And can cause permanent damage to the system.

Check for dust ps5 get really dusty they will over hear , also make sure fan is spinning u can take the top plate off and start it to see if fan is spinning , if that’s working then next step would be to take ps5 apart and inspect liquid metal on gear sinks if your not good with electronics I’d take it to somebody to fix properly

I Plug my controller but it puts my controller in this wierd stanz where it flashes blue really quickly and goes back to the charging orange it’s literally charging so I don’t even know what to do at this point I’m having trouble copying a disc so I resulting to this data base rebuild crazy how I payed $100 more for the PlayStation cause I thought disc drive would have been better in reality it was a pointless money grab

@@jrb291 it worked after a while, but it kept on shutting off on me no matter what I did. I tried everything in safe mode. Restarted the computer everything, I called Sony and they told me to return it that it shouldn’t be doing it especially brand new out the box

And people say Xbox series x is bad everything Microsoft does bad th controllers are th same blah blah oh shut up Xbox doesn’t have update issues like Sony issues th only way Xbox does have updates is if a huge power surge effects console while it’s trying to update
