Very good vid. Painting watercolours loose and quick without thinking too much. Painting boldly to counteract the doubtful, negative thoughts.

I m 65 years and retired.. Grately passionate on painting, thought not tried much. Used to get lot of appreciation in my school and college days for drawing the pictues in biology notes.. I used to go through hundreds of videos and making efforts to learn... But just 50% success.. One day your video of figures out of alphabets popped up.. I eas just glued to it.. I m taking your tutrials seriously sir.. You are an awesome teacher.. Just 2 days now.. I m with my scrap book and pencil in my idle time.. Miraculously it is getting flexible... Confident i can make it.. Hope to send you some shots of my scrap book soon for your valuable correctional advice... Seek your blessings...

Yes, that's true. In Watercolors timing is very important - particularly for loose approach. So we have to be quick and bold. Once we practice more like this, our instant decisions would be getting better and better..

I have been a great admirer of not just your loose paintings but also your style of tutoring. Very calm, considerate, assuring and encouraging. I have to develop the relaxed way of trying out. Thanks. I will certainly post few of my trials to you.

A superb video and excellent advice. I know so many people, myself included, that struggle to achieve the loose approach. One of the things that restricts us is not using enough water, it's as if we are afraid of the water - probably because it does its own thing and then we fight to control it. Instead, we need to make friends with the water and allow it to flow more. Subscribed!

Wonderful video. It teaches us so much. In particular: to be loose and messy in the beginning. When I see your colours 4 minutes, that’s normally the point at which I abandoned my drawing because I think it looks too amateur! Your example, teachers us to keep on, to keep drawing and layering. Thank you for sharing this valuable lesson.

Sir, there is one video by Shelley Prior fine art on youtube title" Green foliage in watercolor". Can you paint that reference painting again to show the loose impressionist style. I tried that reference but I had a struggle to bring "point of focus" and the foreground lighter green leaves aspect as well as the far lighter blue green mountains too. I was repeatedly trying that, but failed. Asked many others too. Shelley didn't do the loose style in her video, which is fine and I can do that as well, but impressionist style of that reference seemed bit a challenge. Kindly check that video and let me know if you need the reference image of it or you can paint as it is. Would love to see your painting of that and your approach.

@@VanidasMangathilArt Sure. It was a reference she gave for painting. So i think you can use it as well. But do check that you understand why I recommended that reference. Its bit tricky for me as I was thinking the foreground should I go with negative painting and how to keep it loose, where to bring point of focus and all. Hopefully
