    Retaining length as help me. A lot I use mini silk elastic crunchies 24 /7 ituck my ends inside the crunchies,my hair is waist Ienght. Your hair is beautiful

    This makes total sense because hair grows faster in dreadlocks, so anything that makes it resemble dreadlocks obviously works for growth. But where do you get the strings for African threading? I've never seen such anywhere in South Africa? Any way to order online? Please assist

    @@moniqueuu8777 I've been doing acrylic yarn threading for awhile. I moisturize my hair and then use the yarn. When I took them down last week (after a month of threading), my hair wasn't dry. In fact, I had a hard time getting the oils out of my hair. But I like threading becuase it keeps my hair in place and I think I'm seeing some growth results. I'll surely be willing to share results at the end of this year.

    My Indian head will leave me and run away if I try to braid more than 2 plates. I am not used to breading at all 😅 This is good though, in India they used a cloth to wrap the whole strand.

    You wont be able to do that you would have to loose it all to moisturize your hair strands, the best you can do will be to cleanse your scalp

    Black people's hair is longing than it looks but you do not see its true length because of the tight curls. I am thinking that all the thread does is loosen the curls by keeping tension on the hair therefore the hair APPEARS longer.

    To me it seems like the same idea as braiding. Stretches your hair and gives your hair minimal manipulation

    you don't have to keep it in for a week. It is something you can do to stretch your hair without using a blowdryer. Although the longer you keep it the more stretched it will turn out you can just do it like friday night to saturday night

    Hair growth comes from diet, exercise, and water. Genetics are key as well. To retain length,it needs to remain in protective styles. Keep damaged ends trimmed.
