I don't know how to explain...but Dior makeup looks elegant...it's so subtle, but it is. Your skin looks great!

Great video! Thank you for not over editing so we can see the process - and thank you for doing a long-wear test! I have to say, at first I thought the Dior covered better, but I think Sephora had better coverage at the end of the day! I have rosacea with scarring & veins, and wanted to try a spray-on foundation for a smoother look - but was afraid to go all-in on the Dior at first. Now I'll try Sephora first! Thank you!

i guess i'm not "unbiased" when trying new things. i think it's a GREAT foundation. i used to use the sephora one for years before i started liquid foundations again, but that was due to my hyperpigmentation.

So glad to have found your channel and this video. My skin is very healthy but I have a lot of melasma on my cheeks and under my eyes mostly. Hereditary in my family unfortunately. I like the Dior one much better and will give it try. Thank-you!

I actually might prefer that darker coloring for you... Also supposedly there some sort of awesome volcanic rock whatnot for oily skin

I suffer from hyperpigmentation also. Have you tried using color corrector under foundation? I think it def helps

They both look great!! I have been loving my Dior Airflash lately. It's so pretty and natural looking while still offering full coverage 😊.

@@simplypearlbeauty You need to comment more on other luxury channels without necessarily mentioning you have a channel too. That's how do found you. You said you tried the foundation on your oily skin too. So I checked to see if you had a channel to see it on you. Those of us who like luxury brands are looking for luxury channels with various skin types. There are very few with extreme oil skin luxury channels. I've noticed most are dry to combination skin type luxury channels. My skin tone is dark brown with combination and more oily in the summer and more dry in the winter. So I look for both regardless of the skin tone. Thanks I love your channel.

Great vid, VERY helpful! Jst watched your top 5 full coverage foundations vid (I’m a new subscriber) & it was so fun to see your original reaction to the Dior airbrush. Was Sephora airbrush not in your top 5 because it’s more Med coverage? Have to add, even tho Seph is less $, it seems one need to add 3-4 times more. Buuut, if it’s currently avail - I’m still going to try the Sephora first! Ty! - Patricia

That dior fits your face perfectly. Especially with the hyperpigmentation you can’t even tell it blends perfectly. That color is perfect for you.

Thank you for your review. It was nice to find a more recent review since Sephora brought this back after being gone for a bit. Also, I have the same melisma/ hyperpigmentation as you. After many failed products and much money wasted, I finally found a product that has significantly reduce my brown spots. It is called Musely. I highly recommend it! It was simple to order and very reasonably priced. No monthly membership required either! :) 👏

@@RobertaNicholson1374 it's a "As seen on TV" type thing but on Facebook. It a combination of tretinoin and 8% hydroquinone which is extremely high in my opinion.

They both look good on you just depends if you like the pale or tan look.

They both look great, although I think the Dior side looks more natural.

I love your voice. What sunblock do you like? My tone is similar to yours. I'm dry skin though. And 51 yo.

I just asked a Sephora rep about the foundation sprays and they said they no longer carry any sprays. Did you find an alternative?

Dior wins for me a little dark but looks amazing

Try magic minerals and compare that one! It’s in the as advertised section from Walmart. I use it and it’s like the same concept- don’t need concealer just dab right over the area again. Would love to see how they compare. Esp bc I think it’s mineral so it doesn’t irritate skin like some products.

I use Dior AirFlash. It’s a good foundation I received a lot of compliments on my makeup but claiming air brush effects has not been my experience

You should color correct your hyperpigmentation first to neutralize it so it won't peek through under foundation.

I’ve tried them both. The Sephora is decent but they don’t have enough colors. Also wears a bit heavier than the Dior so it’s really obvious you have on foundation.

the charlotte tilbury setting spray is my favorite. it helps my makeup stay on longer too.

The dark looks way better on you. It even slams your face like a natural bronzer.

Suggestion: instead of reading from the bottle, explain in your own words,e.g., "you can apply this with a foundation brush or sponge, I like to use the sponge". Then demonstrate. Your content is great, but delivery loses me, because I don't want to waste time watching someone read the bottle. You also lose major eye contact when you're looking down reading. Have you ever heard that expression, "that was about as exciting as someone reading the dictionary?" Maybe watch the most popular makeup videos for ideas of how to present, because this is exactly the info I need.
