@@nlrmal0123 Farfetch'd is basically a duck (they could make Roasted Farfetch'd hmm) and people would cut off slowpoke's tail since the flavour is described as "sweet" but don't worry, it grows back. There are cow and sheep Pokemon such as Mareep, Flaafy, Tauros, Miltank and loads more but I don't know if eating an electric sheep or a wild bull that could send you flying would be the best choice for a nutritious meal. I think the safest option is to eat water type Pokemon like Krabby or Magikarp and probably a bunch of flying type Pokemon since most of them are just thicc birds. If you really don't wanna risk your life to hunt Pokemon like Mandibuzz or Fearow then I'd recommend hunting flying type Pokemon that haven't evolved yet like Pidgey, Spearow or Hoothoot But at the end of the day, Slowpoke would be one of the best Pokemon for eating. Not the Pokemon itself but one of its limbs which is the tail. The tail can't feel any pain so when cutting off its tail we're not hurting it. It's also confirmed that Slowpoke's tail can fall off on its own. Afterwards, it grows back and we can repeat the process by basically having an infinite food source until the Pokemon dies. Slowpoke isn't the only Pokemon that can regrow limbs. Sure, the Staryu line may not have the best meats for consumption but the fact that it's can regrow their limbs making it another infinite source of food (Not the tastiest but it's still good) But then again, Chansey could be a great contender since it can produce who knows how much eggs from uh... it's skin sac?... egg pouch? *Anyways* It shows that the egg has many healing properties. Kinda like, you're eating medicine while having a full course meal. Neat huh You might be wondering "Well, what about vegans and vegetarians?" Well there's plenty of grass type Pokemon that naturally grow fruits and vegetables from their body like Tropius, Snover, Abomasnow and Appletun(I forgot Appletun's typing but I'm gonna assume grass or something since uh *it's an apple* ) They just need to be taken care of like growing your own fruit garden but only this time, you're growing/taking care of a dinosaur and a dragon with the body of an apple [I like how I turned my comment from correcting the reply above me to explaining what Pokemon works best as dinner lmaoo. I also found out that Appletun is a grass/dragon type]

Ash, a 10 year old, can casually throw around full sized logs. I don't think a human that regularly wrangles pokemon would have no problem doing it. Plus, some humans can develop psychic abilities.

Along with the episode where they wanted to eat magikarp there was an episode where they saw normal fish underwater. I think both instances have been confirmed as non canon though. I’m also pretty sure that they said all the meat is vegan fake meat recently

Sounds like some cop out coward wizardry, but ok.

I remember that farfetch'd werent so common in the canon of the first game because they were delicious and people ate them up. It didn't help that they come with their own seasoning (the little stick they carry everywhere). I think the Japanese name for Farfetch'd is actually a pun that means that references that.

Yeah, ‘a duck arrives carrying a leek’… It’s a saying that you use when something amazing and really convenient for you happens out of nowhere. So “oh hey, there’s a duck I can eat and it’s carrying the seasonings I’d cook it with.”

⁠@@walkermorales337that was probably Taiyaki not an actual magikarp. Taiyaki is a waffle like pastry with a filling like red bean paste, ice cream, or chocolate. It’s often made in the shape of a fish (no idea why though).

I’m actually one of the Pokémon in the entry’s say that kids eat it as a snack and in the anime professed oaken says that brick crab Pokémon is great for crabs stew proof is on food theory

I always thought before that there were implied livestock in the pokemon world or else how would they call things "mouse pokemon" referencing real animals. But recently they changed the elephant in Raichu's pokedex entry as a Copperajah and now I'm not sure.

Broo, I thought it was obvious from the games that mention people eating Pokémon parts(starting with them slowpoke tails) that they do eat Pokémon

In cerulean city in indigo league theres an aquarium with regular fish swimming around, but seeing the food items in scarlet and violet its clear some pokemon are eaten

I believe Basculin’s entry outright said that it was very tasty, especially since it’s a fish.

I do recall seeing animals in a few earlier episodes (a Pidgey eats an actual worm, not a Caterpie-) and Gastly’s Pokédex entry references an elephant.

People in Pokémon eat krabby claws, slow poke tails and farfetch’d cook with its own leak

There are canonically and officially no animals in the pokemon world. Pokemon are the animals there.

I mean if you think about it it kind of makes sense. You can have a pet cow that follows you around and also eat beef

It is shown and said throughout the franchise that there are normal animals, so I'd imagine that it's a mix of regular animal and poképroducts that are eaten.

Theyve shown regular fish in a giant aquarium or underwater part or something in one of the older seasons.

They have shown real animals in the pokemon universe a few times although they are rare sightings. But they mostly been seen in movies like in the 3rd movie there was a depiction of giraffe.

In the anime farfetch’d is a Pokémon stated to be eaten by roasting the duck and cutting up the leek it holds for veggies

I like to think they grow certain meat using stem cells in a lab. Though, for Farfetch'd and Slowpoke, Dexter's entries have explained it but let me live in denial. (Also because it'd be weird considering the other type of relationship humans have had with certain Pokémon)

Yes, they chop it up, and then they put the rest of the Pokémon. That's really used back in the Pokéball and they bring it to the hospital and it's renewed.

If I remember correctly, not ALL pokemon are sentient like the way humans are, some are basically just normal animals, so I would be fine eating those tbh.

You know your beloved gold fish,yeah you eat it cousins everytime you have salmon in dinner Its the same logic

Humans do eat pokemon it was confirmed in the anime where Ash thinks of eating the magikarp but it is a horrible idea since their scales are so hard and their taste is really horrible on top of that (literally the most useless Pokemon, I won't be surprised if Magikarps almost destroyed the ocean's ecosystem). Farfetch'd was hunted to critically endangered because their meat is very delicious and tender to cook. I do think they raise pokemons as livestock like in real life but anime and games wasn't really open to it nowadays

What you see the episode where ash visit Misty's gym you can see an aquarium with normal fishes

I think what’s funny is the fact that people question how anyone could possibly eat a Pokemon You guys ever see a real life calf? (Baby cow) They’re adorable But they’re raised to grow up and turn into beef…so if we can do that, we can eat Pokemon

In the early seasons of Pokemon, there were real fish in the ocean and some references to real-world places like Las Vegas. I'm glad they stopped doing that and made it its own separate world. They even changed the writing in the show, signs on buildings used to have real words now they have been replaced with unique text.

Pokémon are like animal it’s like living in a fantasy book or show you have to eat some mythical creatures to survive also like animals other Pokemon eat other Pokemon like mythical creatures eat other mythical creatures

I mean, there aren’t any regular animals in the Pokémon world sure, there are some that are based off real life creatures, but you don’t see like an actual cow or a fox or anything like the meat that they’re eating have to be Pokémon.

Yeah, this theory sort of goes out the window when you consider A. How dangerous Pokémon are and B. Meowth talks.
