Or having to have it cut off of you by paramedics because you've passed out in your several hundred to several thousand colorful fancy "shag carpet". They don't care how much you paid for your Fursuit. Their only concern is getting you out of it and saving your life (and potentially charging you the cost of your suit for having done so depending on your insurance and whether or not you have to go to the hospital). You know why? Not because of breaking the magic. Back in the day a lot of eyes used for suits were made from plastic. The not talking rule was for preventing the eyes from fogging up. And some still use them. I own one with those eyes and trust me, I am not going to talk in that suit lol

@@dragonicdragon3460 well I am around for nearly 21 years now in the fandom, so yeah I remember those "rules". Some were very reasonable in the past but nowadays especially the not talking rule in suit is very outdated in my opinion Unless it's because of the eyes or personal preference.

Recently, the whole "no talking" thing started a whole scare at a convention because during the rave, someone tripped and bumped into someone else. A piece of metal on the costume poked them, and they thought they got stabbed by a needle. The suiter, instead of breaking the magic and saying something, ran and caused a whole fiasco. Break the fucking magic.

Ahhh I think I needed to hear this ✨🌸full body fursuits are so expensive and I roast alive in the summer 😂 so being chill with showing skin sounds good

Fuck people that get mad at people who need to poodle/take off their suit anywhere other than headless lounges, your health ALWAYS should come before breaking the magic!! I have overheating issues so need to poodle during hotter months, luckily i havent had anyone complain about it and my meet has been very supportive towards people who poodle but it still sucks that some idiots complain about it :/

I haven't been as active in the furry community for the last few years, so it's good to hear that people aren't as pissed about removing heads now. I remember when I was a kid just getting into the fandom like 12 years ago, and it was seen as the biggest sin you could commit lol

I have not seen a actual loona fursuit till now and I must say it is pretty great 👍👍

Also most places do have places where you can take off your Fursuit without ruining the magic, but yeah if you can’t breath or something definitely take it off. No one will care really, it depends we’re your at though.

Me who does care about the magic, and hasn't been in the fandom for very long......... but also yeah, a health risk is a health risk. Health always comes first.

Partial fursuiting isn’t a bad thing. I don’t know if this is true but I THINK it means either the person wants to stay cool while having fun in their fursuit, or they just don’t want to wear a heavy amount of fur.

Poodling is different from partialing. Poodling is showing skin while in a suit, like for example, if your armsleeves are separate from the bodysuit, you can take those off and poodle, but it's really common for partial fursuits. In a partial suit, you can wear a longsleeve shirt, armsleeves and a t-shirt, legsleeves and shorts or pants, if you don't want to poodle.

Your personal health and comfort is more important than the "magic" of the environment

I dont know the rules of fur suiting, but I do know that when it comes to cosplay and your in a big hot suit. (like a fursuit) please stay hydrated and take breaks often. I often wear tv heads to cons and while a hundred times easier to manage then a full fur suit it still gets hot. Water and having someone to play handler is always great for cosplay like that.

Thank god. I’m glad the community is evolving in that aspect. When I became a furry, both poodling and breaking the magic were still things lot of people griped about. Good to see things have moved on (but it also makes me feel old)

Honestly even though I keep this a secret I respect persons people who wear those cuz it looks beautiful I like your first suited looks so beautiful maybe I'll write a book

If I see someone take off their head, my first thought will be to ask if they need water or something. The magic can wait, your health comes first.

Also, if your working around children or younger audiences: they don’t care if you have human legs or showing skin! They will mainly be looking directly at your face or mostly just want to hang out because they know your most likely going to be friendly towards them!

Comfort is important, and sometimes, you may not be able to get to a place where no one will see you to take off your suit.

I have to poodle during the summer due to my arms being sensitive to suit lining, but you can't tell if I have a long sleeve shirt on, oddly enough my arms don't care abt that😭

i have a protogen helmet so i have 2 PC fans constantly moving air through so the only reasons i take the helmet off is because it heavy, to change the power bank or to eat
