Re: a mattress’ lifespan, you can argue that’s just marketing & it varies by brand. Also a true adult knows mattresses are expensive AF & the practical answer is you keep rotating & flip your mattress (with occasional vacuuming) until a spring pops out. And then you put duct tape over the spring until you can afford to buy a new one.

If calculating 10% is tricky for you, calculate 10% and double it. If that stumps you, the easiest way to do 10% is move the decimal point over to the left by one digit. So 10% of $72.83 is $7.28, and 20% is $14.56.

@6:12 a couple hundred bucks every 8 years? That girl has no idea what mattresses cost.

To be fair, cheap mattresses are the reason the average is only 8 years. If you buy higher end you can easily find mattresses that will last 20+ years, but they cost a LOT more. Of course, this is true with a lot of consumer products; good hardwood furniture will last centuries, but who can afford it?

7:13 Back in the day...parents would write out a check for their young children and send them to the store for cigarettes! Then the kids would buy a lot of extra things before the check had an amount on it.

please teach these teens when to tip and when tipping is excessive. being served/receiving a delivery of food = yes, tip. pick up/check out = no, tipping not required. food servers and food delivery drivers typically work for tips or gas money. other professions work on wages and do not require tipping. don't tip, especially, at self checkout. that is billion dollar company greed.
