For as long as I can remember, I have suffered from social anxiety and a general incapability to feel at ease around other people. I've never really understood why I am like this and have always loathed that part myself. Every couple of years or so, I have a period of a few weeks or months where I feel very motivated to change, and I start working diligently on "getting rid of my shyness". It never works. I realize that, in these periods, I am most certainly doing "shadow work against myself". I try to get rid of the part of me that is unwell around others, rather than trying to understand it from a place of compassion, accepting that this shadow is part of me, and finding a way to integrate it.

Sounds like you need to take shoes off and ground to mother earth instead of shopping and attaching your pleasure to food/eating. Fasting from these activities will help you ascend to a higher level of consciousness. Don't lose your head in the consumerism hamster wheel as you will never be satisfied you will always just keep wanting the next new thing, more more more etc. Remember less is more...being overly attached to material things stagnates our spiritual growth

This is really great advice. I used to cling to people severely and shame myself for it. I was constantly trying to "change" the part of myself that craved human connection by shaming myself over and over again. Little did i know, that "clingy" side of myself existed because my mother neglected me as a toddler. Little child me just wanted the love she never got, and here i was shaming her - that little child who was myself - for wanting love. Love yourself. Your relationship to yourself is the most important relationship you will ever have, and it will shape how you interact with other loved ones.

Not trying to be rude so excuse my bluntness but your wording is all wrong. If you were doing shadow work on yourself then radical self acceptance would be the first lesson but you say "I was angry and scared of what I had let the other person do to me" so did they make you FEEL a certain way by doing shadow work on you? If so then you're still not doing shadow work FOR yourself and placing negative emotions in the wrong place bc you haven't accepted undesirable aspects about yourself.. anyway I hope this helps too bc you should talk to other ppl so you can do the work you say you're doing.

Shadow work is a process. It doesn't happen overnight. Some people have a lot more survival coping mechanisms to others. There shouldn't be any judgement of where someone is on their healing or spiritual journey. Things show up to work on and we don't always expect them and some are more hidden or have a lot of shame and guilt put on us from others in our lives. You continue on your journey, no matter what and show yourself some compassion, it's harder to love yourself radically for some people. Keep going and working with your shadow sides and whatever comes up, you're doing great by recognising where these pop up in your life ❤❤️

I understand what you’re saying. I have always naturally done productive shadow work with myself. Then I got into an abusive relationship with someone who saw me as a problem to fix. He was unrelenting with picking me apart constantly when I already do that to myself! His motivation was to control me and weaken me. Since I escaped I have used shadow work to understand how I ended up in that situation in the first place. It helped me to understand that I have been experiencing mistreatment and abuse my entire life from my family and this is why I accepted abuse in a partner. I had to get in touch with the part of me that was a victim and process through all of that trauma. I am still recovering ❤

Sometimes the arrangement between parts of yourself is simply listening to them & meeting their needs. I discovered this as I was doing parts work and I was finally able to relax & feel more at ease . Usually the part who thinks you need to make other parts come to this sort of arrangement is the one who is doing shadow work from trying to eradicate theses parts. The biggest arrangement you can ever make is no longer trying to change them & actually embrace them ❤️‍🔥

I did not seek any outside help as I know Most of Physics shrinks Counceller's, has not done or solve their own inner work. I needed help to get started sorting those lingering sickness within. All answers people need are on KZread and do not need to spend to go for a face to face. It is matter of taking that first step in help yourself for whatever reason. This inner self work has taken 4years, the year 2023 was the absolute hardest compared to my 40years of being human in experience, which led to conquered self, freed self and fused the inner-self and the outer-self. The experience of real separation - which is the arising of the “I am” experience - is simultaneously a discontent of the need to know and the feeling that something needs to happen. It is exactly the need to know, which makes the unknowable freedom of “what is” seem out of reach. This message of non-separation does not in any way meet the expectations or needs of the seeker, it undermines them. Therefore - when this message is listened to, the seeking energy may react in many different ways. One is to reject it offhand, as it does not reflect its experience of itself nor meet any of its’ expectations of logic or need to find something else; something better or more. It may misunderstand what is being suggested and attack its misunderstanding. The concepts can be quite foreign to the expectations of the seeker. Or it may believe the concepts making it about itself and thereby inevitably (although falsely) believe that non dualism points to a reality separate from "what is“ already, and therefore a philosophy to apply or a desirable reality to become. These reactions are all functions of the personal experience, there is no free will or choice involved.

Thank you for this video. I now realize that I was Tony One, but I am now tony 2. Although I’m still unclear on what shadow work is. Or who I even really am. But that is OK because after re-awakening I am able to understand and accept that it’s OK that there’s so much that I don’t know and there’s so much that I’ll probably never know. But the beauty is that is there are some things that I actually do know. I am a baby in this light healing World. I just know deep down, that I’m on the right path. Where I once had fear and misunderstanding, I now have love and interest. WherevI once had jealousy, I now have inspiration and genuine happiness for those of which I used to be envious of. It makes sense to me when I’m saying, but does it make sense to anybody out there? Whether it does, or it doesn’t isn’t even completely relevant. All I know is that from this day forward, I’m going to let my resonance guide me, regardless of right wrong, Good bad, accepted or unaccepted by others. I definitely understood the difference, though between the shadow work, and how we can use it to Work for us or against us. I was completely unaware of this before. Even though I used to try to heal myself in the mindset of Tony One, I am blessed to have evolved into the tony 2 mind set. Now all I want to do is study more into this shadow work, and keep expanding and evolving, as much as I can, so I can continue finding my true authenticity. As opposed to continue living as a copy of everything else everyone else is/was. OK that’s enough for me but…….. lol I just wanted to say thank you again, Teal I will continue watching your videos and subscribing. I honestly used to fear you until I woke up. Bless

Great infromation. Carl Jung dove deep into Shadowork. Everyone has the Shadow, but few are willing to deal with this topic. Thank you for bringing this to fhr forefront.

The other thing that I think we have to look out for is just doing work to raise our vibration. Almost like checking off boxes to “be a better person”. For example, I want to unblock my root chakra, so I am going to apologize to people, get friends, carry chakra stones, etc. But are you apologizing because you are truly sorry? Are you making friends because you want to develop true collaborative connections with people? Are you carrying chakra stones because you truly believe in their energy or because they’re pretty? Can you learn to be satisfied with your life and yourself if nothing externally changes?

You don’t have to do shadow work, just pay attention what is happening in your life and respond, see how it makes you feel, see if it make sense, and pay attention to your motives and accept it. Don’t think of it as a part of your identity. It’s just you. Psychology has a limit, but is important to learn. The shadow is truly a spiritual aspect.

From this point of view, bare attention is shadow work. Inasmuch as the shadow is truly a spiritual aspect, shadow work is a spiritual vocation. Soul calls to ego, the still small voice whispers, "You can do better and be better...if only you will pay attention to the creatures lurking in your shadow. Those creatures represent energies which need transformation and redirection" Cultivating a quiet mind enables and facilitates listening to that inner voice, the inner guide called the conscience which tells us right from wrong.

Been using Isochronic tones, as therapy to de-centralize my brain, but it sometimes backfires and actually activates parts of my brain that are what i now understand as "shadows" or parts of me which are now only manifesting themselves. The problem is the "Shadows" tend to wake me up in the middle of the night and seem to want to listen to music, at MY COST...meaning ...not enough sleep, this only makes the matter worse since music seems to concretely, establish a place were they can "live". Not a big deal most of the time but the "Shadows" seem to come out more when i drink or take pain meds. What should I do? -R
