DO'S and DON'TS for SEAFARERS
As a seafarer you know that working in jobs at sea can come with very specific challenges. And just as there are different types of maritime jobs, there can be different types of hurdles to overcome when working in them.
And because working in seafarer jobs can be challenging: both physically and mentally, even just on a regular basis, it makes sense to try and keep the obstacles you need to deal with to a minimum while you’re working in jobs at sea.
And that means avoiding certain things which could get you into trouble.
Here are the Do's and Don'ts while working in the cruiseship!

Ok i have a question.. i don't have the habit of drinking or smoking but what if i get a cabin mate who drinks and smokes inside the cabin which is not allowed i guess.. can i complain to the HR officer to change my room if my cabin mate does not listen but then this might also lead to a conflict with that person if i complain against him... So how should i handle if i face such a situation onboard i wana be friends with everyone i don't want to be in bad terms with any crew member .. but how can i handle such situations if the crew member is doing something against the rules and i dont like it.

First, you need to talk to your cabinmate nicely and express in a nice way, if any case he does not listen, you wjll go to chief crew (in charge of crew cabins) and from there you can request to change your cabin, he will allow it. We can be friendly with anyone but when the time comes that what they are doing is too much then we cannot tolerate such behaviors.
