DO NOT go on a MISSION TRIP until you've watched this 🙏🏽🙅🏾‍♂️🛫

Have you ever had assumptions, or preconceived ideas about something. And then everything got turned on its head?
That's what happened on my mission trip to Kenya (Nanyuki). What I thought missions were vs what actually happened was mind-boggling. And who I thought "we" were vs who I learned "they" were was an epiphany I will hold in my heart forever.
The people of the Segera are simply refreshing. Humble, cordial, respectful, hard-working, peaceful, smart, dedicated, honest, eager to please, .. they are just beautiful. Their quiet, uncluttered lives are to be cherished.
Watch this video to see what I learned and ask yourself if YOU are falling prey to clutter and distractions disguised as blessings and riches.

Agreed! They are the blessed ones. I feel like selling it all and moving to Africa or another country so that I may experience Christ in fullness. We miss his blessings because we have our" god " in wealth we wonder why our children struggle at times. "It is easier for a camel to enter eye of the needle than a wealthy man to enter kingdom of heaven"

Wow thank you for sharing this! I would love to go on a mission, but I don’t want them to think I am better or priviledged like you said, if I go, I am going for myself and learn from them. We are all part of the same Christian family.

This was amazing! This is my first time viewing your videos but I really enjoyed this. I am planning a local missions trip and this was really helpful. I have also been feeling called to get rid of a lot of clutter in my house because I feel like it’s just a distraction as well.

Thank you for your insight!! I LOVE that approach to missions. That is a philosophy that I personally subscribe to “teach a man to fish”… I’ll share this with my missions leader!

I’ve felt like God has been urging me to go on a mission trip for a long time. I always thought my purpose there would be to help them understand God and to help them with their works, like cattle or water or whatever. After watching this, I now want to go over there so they can teach me about God! Over the next few years I plan to develop my skills, like carpentry, running cattle, and my laboratory work; how I might apply all this to help them. Thank you, sir, I was getting really disheartened with the other videos on mission trips. You are a blessing!

Thankya! Yeah, truth be known… They really don’t need our help. Our help is actually more of a hindrance to them. We try to apply our privileged materialistic, western way of life on them and they just don’t need that. I am going back to Kenya next week. March 1 through the 10th, 2023. Please pray for favor, safety, and impact. If you really want to know more about this mission philosophy… Go to 410 Bridge and soak up their materials.

This is amazing that your video came up. I searched “what is going on a mission trip like” and your video was the first one! I leave in less than 3 days for Kenya, Africa, on a 10 day trip with my church. I was shocked when I heard you say that exact same thing. Thank you for the information and for sharing. This made my day, and I can see God’s Hand at work and how He has plans out there for when I go. God Bless! 🙏🇰🇪

That’s too cool! Thank you so much for sharing that. I will be praying for your trip. Yeah, sadly most mission trips are about Westerners going over to Third World countries and handing out trinkets or doing things for them. As they say, teach a Man to Fish, and he’ll eat for the rest of his life. But give a man a fish, and he will ask for one every day for the rest of his life. 410 bridge has it right. We go over, mix into their culture, abide by their rules and their routines. We simply share the love and story of Jesus. It’s as simple as that.
